About Dance Mode Bluey Camp (June + July. T/TH)

Welcome to DANCE MODE BLUEY CAMP. Your child is officially an honorary member of the Bluey Family at Monarch. FOR REAL LIFE! This camp comes with a special souvenir. . . your very BLUEY PAWS!!

We are expecting a fun and exciting summer camp season with all of our campers. You are registered for the session dates listed on your ticket. Be sure to mark your calendar! This two day camp starts at 9:00am and ends at 11:00am each day.

You will be required to sign your child in and out of camp each day at the front desk.

Each day will be filled with fun, hands-on activities that will allow your child to explore dance, improvisation, theatrical storytelling, and discover their inner gifts. They will learn foundational principles of dance in ballet, jazz, ballroom, and contemporary. Below is a schedule of topics that will be explored each day.

Tuesday:

Theatrical performance techniques/games - foundations of Improv and storytelling. Make our Bluey family room backdrop, and play an iconic Bluey dance party game!

Musicality and rhythm - Let's play “pass the parcel” and “what's the time Mrs. Wolf?”! Keep in time with the music!  Bring tap shoes if you have them. Dress up as a grannie and see if grannies can really do the "floss dance"!?

Thursday

Defying gravity! Learn the foundations of ballet- how to fly with proper jump technique! Let's play “keepy uppy” to learn about gravity.

Explore floor work! You can do anything accept walk "normal". Let's get creative on how we can move.  - Parents join us at 10:45am for a special performance to conclude our camp!

We will break at 9:50am-10:05am everyday for snack time.
