About Willy Wonka
A sweet child from a poor family dreams of finding one of five golden tickets hidden inside chocolate bar wrappers which will admit him to the eccentric and reclusive Willy Wonka's magical factory. One after another, tickets are discovered by ghastly children - but will the lad find the last remaining one and have all his dreams come true?
Modoc Performing Arts Center
MPAT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting performing arts viral productions in Modoc County. In past years, performances included musicals such as The Wild West Mikado, Brigadoon, Fiddler on the Roof, Nunsense, Cinderella, Once Upon a Mattress, Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Annie and Guys and Dolls. Classical theater performances include Romeo and Juliet, A Mid-Summer Nights Dream, The Taming of the Shrew, MacBeth, and A Comedy of Errors. Past productions have included Arsenic and Old Lace, The Butler Did It, Steel Magnolias, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, M*A*S*H*, The Odd Couple, For Better or Wurst, Gladys in Wonderland, Robin the Witch and the Challenge, Red Velvet Cake Wars and the sequel Rex's Exe's. MPAT also co-produced LOST RIVER - The story of the Modoc Indian War together with Modoc County Arts Council. We have presented the "Holiday Chorale" in past Decembers, and Evening with MPAT at different times throughout the year. This past summer, MPAT Children's Musical Theater Camp mounted a production of an original play called, "What's the Worst that can Happen?" The show was written by the campers, for the campers, starring the campers. Recent productions included The Inventor's Daughter, CSI Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, The Misadventures of Romeo and Juliet, Rollin' in Dough in Mistletoe, Shrek the Musical, Jr., and There's a Monster in My Closet.
