Lex Crump (Dorothy)(Senior Vocal Major) Lex has enjoyed performing for many years, starting at age 8. Recent credits include Angel in Black Nativity (Black Arts MKE), Eliza in The Zoo (MHSA), and Aria in Kenwood Academy: Class of 84’ (Milwaukee Repertory Theater). Lex's singing has earned regional, national, and international recognition, including winning the Civic Music Association of Milwaukee's high school competition three years consecutively, being a YoungArts winner in classical voice, and winning the Downbeat Student Music Awards in the Blues/Pop/Rock category. Lex is immensely grateful for this opportunity.
M. Dias (Scarecrow)(Junior Theatre/Vocal Major) M is very excited to be working on The Wiz with Milwaukee High school of the Arts. They have worked on, The Zoo as Carboy, 40 days as Paul, Totally not Teen Beach as Tanner, and Urinetown as Soupy Sue. M has taken theatre and vocal classes with MHSA and has worked in productions like We Are The Drum. They want to thank their parents and their whole family.
Jayden Tyler (Tin Man)(Junior Vocal Major) Jayden is excited to be a part of the amazing musical "The Wiz". At a young age he discovered his love for singing and musical theater and he keeps those discoveries alive today. He was apart of "We Are The Drum" with CAPITA productions at Marshall High School and was apart of the competition, WSMA (Wisconsin School Music Association). Jayden is excited to make his first acting debut!
Jordan Rodriguez (Lion)(Senior Vocal Major) Jordan is back on stage following "The Zoo", a comedy opera! This is Jordan's first main-stage production since 2023 in "Urinetown", also landing a lead role in 2022's "Zombies On Highland"! Jordan plans on following his passion for music after graduating later this spring!
Kevin Jackson-Hampton (The Wiz)(Senior Theatre Major) Kevin was last seen as Vincent in '40 Days', ensemble in Carnaval The Animals & The Zoo, Orchestra and Opera pieces. Along with his role as ‘Rex’ in the original play 'Heroes Of Ulthra'. The Wiz will be his final show at MHSA, so hes trying to make it as special as possible by giving it his all. He thanks his parents and friends, who always show up to support him and his castmates in their shows!
Kay Bradford (Evillene)(Senior Theatre Major) Kay is excited to be back on stage for the first time in a while. They were last seen on the Wildrick stage 2 years ago as an ensemble member in the show Urinetown. Kay is sad that this will be their last show of the year, but also excited for the many opportunities to come as they go off to study theatre at UW-Stevens Point.
Amiracle Eavans (Addaperle)(Junior Vocal Major) Amiracle is grateful and excited to make her acting debut in "The Wiz!" at Milwaukee High School of the Arts as "Addapearle". Amiracle is an award winning student with YoungArts, Civic Music Association and Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) in many different categories of music, but always had a deep love and passion for musical theater and can't wait to show her acting skills.
Auriana Davila (Glinda)(Junior Visual Art Major) Auriana is very happy to be joining The Wiz as Glinda. You could also see Auriana as the character “Lela” in Totally Not Teen Beach Movie. Auriana would also love to thank her family and friends for the support and all the love.
Me'a Thompson (Aunt Em)(Senior Vocal Major) Me’a is a bright and talented young performer who has been singing since before she touched the MHSA’s halls. With a voice full of heart and soul, she lights up every stage she steps on. From school talent shows to community performances, Me’a’s passion for music and theater has only grown stronger over the years. She is beyond thrilled to be joining the cast of The Wiz—a story she’s loved since she was little—and can’t wait to bring her energy and joy to the role. This is just the beginning for Me’a, and she’s excited for all the magic to come.
Micole Gentry (Uncle Henry)(Senior Theatre Major) In his final performance in the Wildrick, Micole is ecstatic to be Uncle Henry in The Wiz! After being seen as Dave (40 Days), Ungit Nor (Heroes of Ulthra), and Tiny Tom (Urinetown), Micole has been a devout theatre student throughout his entire high school career. He would like to thank his parents, Jess, and everyone who helped him on his way!
Brielle Anderson (Lord High Underling/Ensemble)(Sophomore Theatre Major) Bri is excited to be in her third main stage performance at MHSA. She has also been seen in "Heroes of Ulthra" and "40 Days".
Kamicci Bond (Monkey Boss/Ensemble)(Freshman Theatre Major) Kamicci is a person who likes to be on stage and perform to put on a show for people. Not only that but he is an inspiration, a very cheerful person, a helpful person, someone you can come to whenever you want to laugh or lighten up your mood, someone who tries to understand the assignment, someone who is confident but at the same time tries to give other people that confidence too, someone who has a passion for fashion, and finally someone who you can be yourself with without being judged because he loves to be himself as well.
Reimen Kelley (Gatekeeper/Ensemble)(Freshman Theatre Major) Reimen is so excited to be in The Wiz acting as The Gatekeeper and ensemble. The choreography, setting and themes of the show are so fun and intriguing. It is Reimens' first year experiencing theatre performance. When Reimen isn't in school, she enjoys playing volleyball and reading realistic fiction. You'll find her on the varsity volleyball team for MHSA next winter. She wants to thank her mom, directors Mama L and Mr. Rich, teachers Mr. Sayarath, coach Mr. Sarandos and her friends for always supporting her dreams, aspirations and always helping her out!
Laila Arias-Cannon (Ensemble)(Freshman Dance Major) Laila is class of 2028 at MHSA who majors in dance. Laila is a versatile dancer who has been dancing since a kid but has been dancing for a team since the year 2018. Laila has a strong love and passion for dance and hopes to make a career out of it.
DeChe'a Hamilton (Ensemble)(Senior Vocal Major) DeChe'a is extremely grateful to be part of the ensemble for The Wiz. She's been in countless competitions, therefore when she heard about The Wiz, she couldn’t wait to try out. She hopes you enjoy her performance along with everyone else’s!
Turyah Harrison (Ensemble)(Freshman Theatre Major) Turyah is an Theatre major at MHSA and has done one show, which was Everyone gets abducted by Ailens. She is happy to be apart of this year adaptation of The Wiz. She has been apart of many school plays, including Moana and Matilda. She has also been apart of professional shows with First Stage and Black Arts MKE. She has performed at the Kennedy center in Washington D.C. Turyah would like to thank her old theatre director Mr. J and her old musical director Mrs. Reed for supporting me through my journey of becoming an actor.
Micah Hart (Ensemble)(Sophomore Dance Major) At the age of 5 Micah started with traditional West African dance and learned other styles from there. Micah has also danced with people like Frank Gatson on different occasions. Go follow him!!
Sa'Riyah Hobson (Ensemble)(Freshman Theatre Major) In the past, Sa'Riyah has been in a class play called “Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens” and a school play called “40 Days”. She is very excited to be an Ensemble member in the very popular musical “The Wiz” and is excited to preform for everyone
John Hughes (Ensemble)(Sophomore Dance Major) John has been dancing since he was 9 and that's how he started his dance career. And he has been traveling all over the world to perform. And John will also like to say thank you to his mom and big sister for being on this journey with him.
Jaida McCoy (Ensemble)(Sophomore Dance Major) She's been in two shows here at MHSA, Dance Recital '24 and The Annual Winter Concert '25, and has one coming up May 21st, but she's been dancing practically her whole life and has done a multitude of genres such as jazz, heels, modern, liturgical, ballet, african, musical theatre, commercial, ballroom vogue, ballroom jazz, tap, and more. She’s very excited to show all the hard work everyone’s been doing for this show and hopes you all enjoy.
Samariana Patterson (Ensemble)(Sophomore Dance Major) She has been dancing since elementary school, performing in multiple musicals and productions at Kluge Elementary and Lincoln Middle School of the Arts. One of her proudest achievements so far is to have performed on MHSA's Main Stage with the upper class dancers and with Xalaat Africa.
Lucy Richardson (Ensemble)(Senior Theatre Major) Lucille has enjoyed working on The Wiz. Her recent credits included 40 Days, and Heroes Of Ulthra. When she isn’t on stage, Lucille is enjoying her time working with the Yearbook Team, Stage Production, and working at her Catering job. She wants to thank her Grandmother and Father for always supporting her.
Serenity Terry (Ensemble)(Junior Dance Major) Serenity is very exited to make her acting debut as Dance ensemble in the world renowned musical The Wiz. She has danced in many performances such as Milwaukee High School of the Arts dance recitals, Mad-hot ballroom, HYFIN anti-gala and recently MHSA winter dance concert. Dance has been in her life since she was one pushing her to become a professional dancer. With her time here at MHSA she plans on creating a dance team and making her official debut as a dancer for The Wiz.
Amora Tillman (Ensemble)(Junior Dance Major) Amora is very excited to dance in The Wiz Musical for her school. She is currently a Junior and has been dancing for over 5 years. You'll find her in MHSA ‘Dance Concert ’ and levels 1-5 recitals this upcoming May. She wants to thank her parents and dance instructors for encouraging her and supporting her through her dance career.
Alana Walker (Ensemble)(Junior Dance Major) Alana is excited to be returning to the Wildrick Theater dancing as an ensemble in Milwaukee HighSchool of the Arts "The Wiz" She made her debut last year as a dancer in "Carnival of Animals" and recently performed in a group piece during the Winter Dance Concert. Alana has been a dance major at MHSA since freshman year hoping to go into professional dancing after.
Joanae Walker (Ensemble)(Sophomore Theatre Major) Joanae is excited to share her first show on the main stage. She has a strong passion for telling stories and can't wait to show the characters she has created. A big thank you to everyone who has supported her along the way. This is just the start!
Isaac Williams (Ensemble)(Sophomore Dance Major) Isaac has really enjoyed working with Mrs. LaCroix in The Wiz. He recently starred in Black Nativity as a ensemble Member. Isaac has been studying dance at Milwaukee high school of the Arts and is currently a sophomore. When he isn't on stage, Isaac likes to take dance classes. He would like thank his family and friends who supports him.
Amaiaca Wright (Ensemble)(Senior Theatre Major) Amaiaca is thrilled to be a part of the vibrant production of The Wiz! A passionate dancer with about 15 years of experience in many different styles of dance. She recently directed a show called "Everyone Gets Abducted By Aliens, at Milwaukee HS of the Arts. When she's not on stage she enjoys playing basketball, dancing, acting, and modeling. She gives thanks to Mama L for her amazing theatre training, and Ms. Ri for her unwavering support while learning choreography!
