Welcome to a History! Today we will be learning from Jenny Ann-Bishop about the Salem Witch Trials. She has prepared a lovely presentation complete with…an entire play loosely based on actual historical events. Witches!? In Salem?! is a new play by author Matt Cox (Puffs). This comedy takes the historical event and turns it upside-down, inside-out, and in every way possible. This fast-paced comedy is guaranteed to make you laugh and pull you into the “magical” world of Salem in the 1600s. Are witches real? Are they still out there? The Masquers of West Essex is the premier theater production club for students in West Essex High School. Here, students are able to learn how to collaborate on a months-long production in a variety of ways. Students take part in this process in a variety of ways: scenic construction, artistic design, publicity, performance, hair and makeup design, lighting and sound techniques, and much more. Students who are a part of Masquers gain many life skills that are sure to assist them when they leave high school and enter the workforce.
