It is our pleasure to honor Susie & Sam Macfarlane with a concert of arias, duets, and scenes performed by singers of international acclaim with chamber orchestra.  Mrs. Macfarlane was an anti-war activist and an advocate for older adults, having worked as the director of Baltimore's Action in Maturity.  Mr. Macfarlane was the CFO of Williams & Wilkins and Waverly Press as well as the Treasurer and a Trustee of the Baltimore Opera Company Board.  Both long-time supporters of the Baltimore Opera Company, Susie & Sam gave tirelessly to bring opera to all.  In an effort to raise money for the opera company and introduce children to the fun and beauty of opera, Susie designed the singing opera bears (pictured).  These well-loved toys are still singing around Baltimore today!
