Dinner & Show Details

Maple Avenue Theater proudly presents its annual mystery dinner theater. Tickets are $37.50 each and include dinner starting at 6:30 pm and show immediately following dinner. Doors open at 6 pm. The dinner menu features roast pork, potato, salad, green beans, rolls, and a special dessert. Each lady will be presented with a flower and a complementary picture is provided for each couple/group. Join us for a fun evening and a hilarious murder mystery show!

Murder's in the Heir Synopsis:

Turn the game Clue into a play and you have the masterfully entertaining Murder’s in the Heir!’ Almost every character in this hilarious mystery has the weapon, opportunity, and motive to commit the unseen murder.  And it’s up to your audience to decide who actually did it!  Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him.  Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will.  His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula (a Southern belle) and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants.  Then Lois delivers the bombshell!  Within hours this will becomes invalid.  Of course, the rejected heirs are not pleased, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax, a gun, and poison.  Predictably, the lights go out, and Simon is discovered murdered.  Simon III is determined to find his grandfather’s killer, with the help of detective Mike Davis.  The play’s unique ending, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience, determines the killer in this Billy St. John maze of murder.

Maple Avenue United Methodist Church is an active congregation, filled with caring people, all sharing in the ministry of Jesus Christ. Our activities range from Christian education to music theatre programs for everyone. Our 10 am Sunday morning worship service is filled will excellent music and great leadership. 

We provide a variety of programming to our congregation and the local community. Our Tree House Childcare ministry impacts the the lives of families in the community and provides love, laughter, and learning for our children. The other ministries and activities that we provide are: theatre programs, Summer Block Party, Halloween Party, Sunday school, youth groups, and Bible/book studies

Through mutual support and encouragement by our multi-generational congregation, we are knitted together in a big family.
