About Game of Tiaras (full-length)

When the aging king of a Magical Kingdom (England) decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen (who in no way resembles a copyrighted character), terrible tragedy ensues. Terrible, hilarious tragedy. Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter as the body count mounts. When you play the Game of Tiaras, you win or you die.

Manistee Area Public Schools

For the past 5 years we have been working to re-build our theatre program. We started with a spring musical in 2017, “Little Shop of Horrors". For that show, we had a cast and crew of 20 students. We were able to slowly grow our department over the years and our last production in 2020, Disney's “Beauty and the Beast” had about 50 students involved including the cast and crew.

Since the COVID pandemic cut our last season short one week before our production of “Beauty and the Beast” we've gone back into a rebuilding stage. During the 20-21 school year, we were limited due to COVID restraints and lack of funds, as our account was left in a deficit after not being able to recoup our expenses from “Beauty and the Beast”.

We couldn't be happier to be back this season; ready to hit the ground running and experience theatre again!

The experience of performing in front of a live audience is so unique and wonderful. It is my goal to give all MAPS students the best experience I can on our stage. We work together to bring forth a positive experience for each other, as well as the audience! With the collaboration of students on stage, back stage and running sound and lights, they are able to experience the magic that is live theatre!
