Producer and Music Director
John McClain
John M. McClain is the Director of Choirs at Logan Hocking School District and is the Director of Music and Worship at First Presbyterain Church in Lancaster. John is a native of Logan and, now teaching grades 7 through twelve, he directs three high school and three middle school choral ensembles, and has developed and implemented curricula for History of Rock and Roll and Music Theory courses. As a graduate of Capital University, he sang in the Capital University Chapel Choir, Philomel - under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler - and Chordsmen - under the direction of Mr. Craig Courtney. He acted as a tenor section leader and soloist in those ensembles. Now, John is regularly heard on professional choral music recordings from Beckenhorst Press, produced by Aire Born Studios, and has been selected to sing with the new semi-professional choral ensemble No Two Notes (sound the same), also under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler. Some of John's solo ventures include performing the Star Spangled Banner for former President Barack Obama, singing as soloist in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, and various venues throughout Europe. Most recently, John received the Ohio Music Education Association Outstanding Young Music Educator Award for 2022.  He considers himself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to make music every day, as his job, with the best young people in the world.

Shelly Riggs
Mrs. Riggs has been producing and directing theatre at LHS since 1995, where her first production was Rebel Without a Cause. She is an educator, performer, director, and actor-combatant. She most recently has been seen as Juror 3 in Pickerington Community Theatre's production of Twelve Angry Jurors. She holds degrees from The Ohio State University, and has trained with the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium and Atlantic Theatre, as well as the Society of American Fight Directors.

Gretchen Weber
Gretchen R. Weber is the Assistant Director and Collaborative Pianist for the Logan Hocking Choirs. This is her sixth year with the choirs, having graduated from Case Western Reserve University with her M.A. in Music Education and Teaching License in May of 2016, where she was a graduate teaching assistant for the CWRU’s auditioned and non-auditioned choral ensembles. She earned her B.A. in vocal performance from Saint Louis University in May of 2013. While receiving her degrees, Gretchen has accompanied, conducted, and sung in professional Baroque choirs, advanced college choirs, and children’s choirs in both St. Louis and Cleveland. Along with teaching and accompanying at the high school and middle school, Gretchen teaches middle school general music and sings in and accompanies Columbus-area church and community choirs, including Capital University’s Choral Union, under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler. She currently serves as the alto section leader for the First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster Worship Team and has been selected to sing with the new semi-professional choral ensemble No Two Notes (sound the same), also under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler. Gretchen is incredibly honored and privileged to work and make beautiful music with such bright, caring, funny, and talented students each day.

Karen Bergreen
Mrs. Bergreen is the Assistant Director, this is her 5th year in this position and the 22nd year that she has helped with the fall play. She is the wife of Scott Bergreen and the mother of two sons, Keith and Daniel. Mrs. Bergreen teaches forensic science, programming with python, AP computer science A and AP computer science principles at Logan High School. She is also a certified yoga instructor with a specialty in trauma informed yoga. Beginning in January, she will teach yoga at Alley Park for the Lancaster Parks and Recreation Health and Fitness.

Tonya Kraner
Tonya Kraner is well versed in choreographing, teaching, and performing many dance styles. She has trained and performed with numerous NYC & LA professionals. She and her dancers have performed for the United Way Rally, Celebration of Possibilities, Columbus Crew Soccer, Columbus AIDS Task Force, Columbus Tap Project, Sea-Bus, Columbus Dance Alliance, WSU, OU, OSU, Break the Floor NYC, Disney World, Toyota Gator Bowl, and Kibbutz Dance Company in Israel among others. Tonya is centered in Lancaster where she created and choreographs TNT Dance Team and travels to teach master classes. She has choreographed for Ohio theatre companies including Lancaster HS, Logan HS, Ohio University, Weathervane Playhouse, Gallery Players, Evolution Theatre Company and Imagine Productions.

Mary Rizzardi
Mary Rizzardi is in her 7th year of teaching and is the new Assistant Director of Choirs at LHSD. She also teaches general music for grades 5-7. She received her BA in Music Education from Marietta College and her MM in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy and Certification in Choral Conducting from Ohio University. Mary has been involved in musical theater for many years, directing, conducting, choreographing, and performing. She is very proud of the MS and HS students who have been working so hard to present Mary Poppins to you!

Ashley Aldridge (Stage Manager, Rope Operator) is a senior at Logan High School, and this will be her third year as Stage Manager and fourth year as part of the theater program at LHS. After high school, she will be attending Tiffin University to golf and study forensic psychology. Ashley would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in everything she does.

Megan Brenning (Lead Costume, Makeup Crew) is happy to be participating in her 4th show at Logan High School and second spring musical. She is a sophomore and the daughter of Lynette and David Brenning. She has been involved in Goddess of Tears and Freaky Friday her freshman year and The Importance of Being Ernest and now this show her sophomore year. She would like to be a science teacher in her future but she doesn’t know what grade. She looks forward to being involved with many other performances during her High School years!

Also shes the youngest of 12 kids and has a twin (Terra Barnes) whom is one of the tappers. She can be a really big extrovert most of the time, while only sometimes she wont talk ever.

Kaylee Cox
Kaylee Cox (Apprentice Stage Manager, Scenic Artist, and Set Crew) is a seventh grader and excited to participate in her first theatre production. Kaylee enjoys participating in band as the first chair clarinetist, the LHMS Student Council vice president, a journalist for the Jr. Chieftain News, and volleyball team member. Outside of school, she serves as the 2021-22 Ohio State Junior Grange Princess and is a 6-year 4-H member. Christopher Frost (Set Crew) is proud to work on his first musical for the LHS. He is a seventh grader and the son of Lauren and John Frost. Christopher has not had any experience in musicals and after high school Christopher wants to go to collage and get a masters degree in computer science or Oceanography. He plays baseball in the spring and fall, he also is part of math-counts for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. He is in HCCC and is Maurice in Beatty and The Beast. He hopes you like the show.

Arizona Hamm
Arizona Hamm (Co-Lighting Designer and Sound Crew) is a senior and has participated in many Logan High School Productions before this including Charlotte's Web, High School Musical, Goddess of Tears, Freaky Friday, and The Importance of Being Earnest. As well as many other performances through the Lancaster Playhouse and other organizations. Outside of theatre, she plays varsity tennis, is a Logan Marching Chieftain, a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and competes nationally in FCCLA. She also writes and performs poetry, and was awarded third place in the state during the 2022 Poetry Out Loud State Final. She would like to thank her parents; Jessica and Roger Hamm, for supporting her in her endeavours.

Zocha Laskowski is in costume crew, she is also playing Annie, and is part of a park couple in Jolly Holiday. Zocha's in 7th grade and is very excited to be a part of Mary Poppins. Her parents Jason and Tammie Laskowski have supported and encouraged her throughout her first experience of being in a musical. She is also in Choir, does Children's Chorus, and takes paino lessons. This is Gages second musical since coming to the high school and this year he decided to take on a lot more responsibilities. He moved in a different direction then being on set crew and felt he had what it takes to join the hunt for props. Hes grow super close with his crew mates and has enjoyed the challenge of being creative with what props to use, rather then the challenge of building sets. Hes desire for being in Costume Crew, which is his second job comes from one of his dream jobs being a fashion designer. The Costume Crew has created a great gateway to the Fashion world and has opened his eyes to the endless amounts of effort that goes into even the simplest of costumes. And finally theres being a Rope Operator which is a huge responsibility and with the huge help from his amazing crew mates hes able to do a lot of key effects with a small crew.

Seth Travis, son of Micheal and Mindy Travis and brother to Stewart Travis, is in Set Crew and is a Runner for his first show. He participates in after school programs consisting of Cross Country, Middle School Track, and Journalism. Seth plans to go into the army or become an artist for Pixar Studios after high school. He plans to make the most of being with us at Logan High School and hopes to go to college at CalArts, the Ringling School of Art, or the Savannah College of Art.

After high school, she plans on attending college but her major is undecided.
