Murder by Membership Only Cast

STEPHANIE VIA (Hester Tandy)
Steph is thrilled to death to be playing another Hester in this powerful cast of women! Most recently seen on the LTM stage as Kate Jerome in last year’s Broadway Bound, previous acting credits also include Violet Oakley Unveiled (Violet Oakley, et al), Coriolanus (Aufidius), Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice), The Scarlet Letter (Hester), Reefer Madness (Sally), Incorruptible (Marie), The Full Monty (Vicki), and Taking Leave (Liz). Many thanks to these great lady actors, all the wonderful folks who got this production to the stage, her friends & family, and her partner in crime DH, without whom she has no clue what life would be like (and doesn’t want to know). And special thanks to all of YOU for supporting local theatre!
PATRICE WHITSON (Lydia Beaton)
My first show was Amahl and the Night Visitors, 1980! A chorus part, but I was smitten. This show marks 99 as either an actor, choreographer, director, and sometimes a combo of two. I’ve done a ton of musicals, but somehow I love the intricacies of a play. I’ve worked at HCT (now known as Theatre Harrisburg), High Schools, OMP, and LTM, to name a few. I also volunteer at HCPAC. I do hope you enjoy this fun murder mystery as much as I do.
KATHY LUFT (Mrs. Plimpton)
Kathy is excited to return to Little Theater of Mechanicsburg for this murder mystery. Theatre has always been a passion of hers. She wishes to thank her talented director, gracious cast of women, and crew for their work to make the show successful. A retired educator, she is also involved in community and volunteer work. Kathy wishes to dedicate this performance to her three lively grandchildren who are always up for adventure.
ANGELA RUEDIGER (Madame Lecoq)
Angela is thrilled to return to LTM where she played her first community theatre role, Stella Mae, in Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean a long time ago. Other LTM roles include Eva Peron in Evita, Lucy in Snoopy!, and Petra in A Little Night Music. More recently, she was a featured soloist in Some Enchanted Evening: the Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein at the West Shore Theatre and in Oh Joy, Oh Rapture! A Celebration/Evening of Gilbert and Sullivan at Theatre Harrisburg. Angela teaches humanities and theatre at HACC and is also a professional Christmas caroler with her Victorian trio, What the Dickens. Thank you to Kristen and the cast for a wonderful experience, and to Ken for his support and for enduring early dinners on rehearsal nights!
ANNE MARINO (Clarice Furgusson)
Anne Marino is thrilled to be a part of the delightful comedy that is Murder By Membership Only. It has been the most fun to work with such a talented cast and fabulous director! Anne’s most recent appearance was as Berthe in Boeing-Boeing at Oyster Mill Playhouse. Before that she was seen at Oyster Mill in Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. Anne also had the privilege of playing Amanda in the The Glass Menagerie at OMP and Florence in Leading Ladies at Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg. Anne has had the pleasure of performing in many other wonderful productions as well, including Abe Lincoln in Illinois at The Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, and Elvira in Blithe Spirit at St. Andrews By The Sea in New Brunswick. Anne thanks her family and friends for all the love and support she receives for every endeavor. And thanks, of course, to Gordon, who certainly understands it all!
TARA MEAD (Mrs. Balser)
This is Tara’s second performance at the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg, following her debut as Mary Lincoln in Mrs. Lincoln in season 73. She decided to resume her love of theatre in 2015 and hasn’t stopped since! Tara has performed at the Carlisle Theatre in To Kill a Mockingbird, The Crucible, Sleepy Hollow, and Clue, as well as starring in the theatre’s Murder Mystery Show, Dying 2 Kill You. She has also acted at Hershey Area Playhouse in It’s a Wonderful Life and The Homecoming. Tara was active in several productions in high school and also sang in various music ensembles during her time at the University of Connecticut and still sings in her church’s choir. She would like to thank her family for their unwavering support and the entire Murder by Membership Only cast and crew!
ANDREA M. STEPHENSON (Eve Hawkins)
Andrea is excited to be back on stage after spending the last year directing four shows back-to-back, including Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead right here at LTM and, most recently, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 at Oyster Mill Playhouse. She was last seen on stage as Sue in All My Sons (The Belmont Theatre) and as Florence Unger in The Odd Couple (Female Version) (LTM). Other favorite roles include Sister James (Doubt, Theatre Harrisburg), Mrs. Shears, et. al. (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Theatre Harrisburg), and Vivian Snustad (The Church Basement Ladies, Hanover Little Theatre). Andrea would like to thank Kristen for the opportunity to take to the stage once again and this great cast for making it such a fun experience. She’d also like to thank her mom, Colleen, and her husband, Mike, for their support of her theatre obsession.
MARTHA TRAVERSE (Octavia Sturges)
Martha is delighted to return to LTM, having played Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest several seasons ago. Since relocating to the area in late 2020, Martha has enjoyed playing Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly! and Ouiser Boudreaux in Steel Magnolias at the Belmont in York, followed by Madame in Cinderella and the Dowager Empress in Anastasia with Keystone Theatrics at the Allenberry Playhouse. Martha’s favorite roles over the years include Anna in The King and I and Rose in Gypsy. A former professional in musical theatre, Martha first performed as a singer/dancer at the Muni Opera in Take Me Along starring the illustrious Gene Kelly. Later credits include numerous roles in regional theatre and summer stock, followed by appearing on Broadway in her understudy role as Ado Annie in Oklahoma! and playing Guenevere in an international tour of Camelot, opposite the late star/director Richard Harris.
JESSICA HAAG (May Cobbs)
Jess is excited to be involved in her first production at Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg. A York native, she has performed in various shows throughout central Pennsylvania over the past three years. She would like to thank Kristen and the production team for the opportunity to join this talented cast.
