Guys and Dolls Cast

David Sanchez III (Nicely Nicely Johnson)
David Sanchez III is a sophomore who is double majoring in Worship Arts and Media and Media Communications. This is his second stage performance which he will be playing Nicely, one of the male leads within the show. The role has been both challenging and exciting within these couple of weeks so it’s been a journey to say the least. With previously playing The Dwarf in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, he thought trying the musical would try something different to be apart of. His enthusiasm only gets bigger as the show's debut gets closer. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support.
Chandler Sargent  (Benny Southstreet)
Chandler Sargent, a senior, is thrilled to be part of Guys and Dolls after previously portraying Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Passionate about storytelling, he strives to bring authenticity and depth to every role. Outside of theater, he is a student pursuing a deeper understanding of theology and the arts. He would like to thank his girlfriend Bri, his parents, his closest friends, and Carissa for their unwavering support throughout this journey.
Tasheem Breazil (Rusty Charlie)
Tasheem is a senior at LPU majoring in Human Development and Psychology. This is his third production that he is a part of. He was apart of the ensemble in the last spring musical the hunchback of Notre Dame . He loves being a part of these shows. He really enjoys seeing to growth in both others and himself. Tasheem believes that it is a blessing to be a part of these shows and his favorite part is spending time with his cast members and of course Carissa Hawksworth.
Joshua Casis (Sky Masterson)
Taking his final bow on the LPU stage, Joshua feels honored to be playing the role of Sky Masterson. This is something that he has been working on for a long time and he is so thankful that you are all here to witness it. He wants to thank The Felix-Jager Family, The Delahuerta Family, Nyree, The Figueroa Family, The Hawksworth Family, Parents, his best friend Calvin, and God for the love, support, encouragement, and guidance they have put in his life. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
Calvin Welch (Nathan Detroit)
Calvin Welch has had a love for music since an early age—his father played guitar and his mother was a talented triple threat! Musical theater was the first place he learned to love singing, and he's sought to glorify Jesus through music ever since. He'd like to thank Maren Plog, Talar Arslanian, and EBJ. Past roles: The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Phoebus), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Caractacus Potts), Elf (Buddy), Singin' In The Rain (Don Lockwood).
Noah Crocker (Big Jule)
Noah Crocker is a freshman in the Media Communications program here at LPU. After his first ever role as Mr. Beaver in LPU’s Fall 2024 play, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, Noah is excited to take on the new, and much different, role of Big Jule. Noah loves video games, skating, surfing, his family, and most of all, Jesus.
Anthony Scott Brunske (Harry the Horse)
Taking his final bow on the LPU stage, Anthony Brunske is filled with gratitude to be closing his time at LPU with one last performance as Harry the Horse. He has formerly played Peter (Narnia), Kevin Rosario (In the Heights), Jehan/Gargoyle/Ensemble (Hunchback of Notre Dame), and Cardinal Richelieu (Three Musketeers). He plans on entering the acting industry after graduation, bringing Jesus into Hollywood! He wants to thank Carissa Hawksworth for believing in him, and changing his life. Anthony Gamboa (Liver Lips Louis)
Anthony Gamboa is a junior Media and Communications major at LPU. This is his first theater production that he is a part of. When he is not on stage, Anthony is probably playing his guitar or eating Chick Fil A. He is excited and grateful that this is his first production to be a part of. He would like to thank his friends Romeo and Ivan for convincing him to join this production.
David Ruarte (Joey Bilmore)
Having joined the musical on a whim (mostly because he was convinced by Carissa Hawksworth), David Ruarte goes up on stage for the first time in a really long while! He is a freshman at Life Pacific University majoring in Biblical Studies, and is enjoying his first experience in a college production. Maybe he’ll even stick around for some more shows, let’s see how this goes…
Benjamin King (Lieutenant Brannigan)
Benjamin King is a senior in LPU's Human Development and Psychology program. He is feeling bittersweet about being in his last production at LPU, but happy to have gotten to participate in as many poductions as he has. He would like to thank his family, friends and especially his wonderful girlfriend, Lauren Costello, for all their support during this production and beyond. He would also like to thank Carissa Hawksworth for being an awesome director and single-handedly shouldering the Theatre program at LPU. Lastly, he would like to thank you for coming to the show and he hopes you enjoy it.
Abigail Hartt (Sarah Brown)
Abbigail Hartt is a Sophomore Biblical Studies major. This is first appearance at an LPU Theater production and loves musical theater. She has gone to many musical theater camps and music arts camps throughout her life. She loves to play basketball and is thankful to be a part of the LPU basketball team. She also loves to sing and lead worship at her church. She is so thankful for this opportunity to play an amazing character which ties back to her Salvation Army roots. She is excited to play this character and She has learned so much about the Lord through this production and is thankful for Carissa for this awesome opportunity. She would also like to thank her family for being so supportive and loving, her friends and teammates, and the most important; God for giving her this new experience as well. Sarah has taught her so much already about herself, she is excited to show you Sarah Brown in this production of Guys and Dolls. Enjoy!
Justin Moore (Arvide Abernathy)
Justin is both excited and sad to take part in what will most likely be his final production with Life Pacific University, Guys and Dolls! Justin is a senior in the Human Development and Psychology program, and has played roles such as Smee in Peter and the Starcatchers, The Wolf and Mysterious Man in Into The Woods, Athos in The Three Musketeers, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Mr. Tumnus for The Lion, the Witch, And the Wardrobe. Outside of his love for acting with Lpu, Justin is involved in set design and construction, acting with Stardust Entertainment, and loves to cook, hike, and sing worship. Clarissa Macias (General Cartwright)
Clarissa Macias is a second-year student at LPU, pursuing a degree in Media & Communications. She has previously brought characters to life in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She’s beyond grateful to be part of this production and wants to send a huge thank you to her family and give a special thank you to her mom for always being her biggest cheerleader and constant encourager. Above all, she thanks God for the opportunity to make lifelong friends and unforgettable memories.
Brianna Frank (Agatha)
Brianna Frank is a senior Worship Arts & Media major at Life Pacific University. She has previously appeared in Into the Woods (Little Red), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Madam/Ensemble) and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Susan). When she’s not on stage, Brianna enjoys baking, reading, crocheting, knitting, songwriting, and just about anything else creative. She is thrilled to be part of this production as Agatha and would like to thank her husband for his unconditional love, Megan Clark for being there for her in all colors of hair, and her family for their support through joy and sorrow."
Amelia Poetzl (Calvin)
Amelia is a sophomore majoring in Worship Arts and Media. Amelia has previously appeared in Narnia as a wood nymph! She loves music, hiking, hanging with friends, playing mafia, and worshiping the Lord! She would like to give her family a special thanks for the all the support and encouragement. Above all her gratitude is to the Lord for all he has provided and the blessing of being part of such an incredible cast!
Abigail Dyer (Martha)
Abigail (Abbi) Dyer is a sophomore in the Media and Communications program here at LPU. This will be her fourth production with LPU Arts, her previous roles being Queen Anne (Three Musketeers), Gypsy (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), and the White Stag (Narnia). Abigail has grown up doing community theatre, her favorite shows she’s been in include Shrek, Robin Hood, and High School Musical. She loves to engage in joyous and silly moments with her castmates and has a passion for showing people the beauty of theatrical art. Abigail is eternally greatful for her family for encouraging her in her gift as she grew up and always being people she can look up to. Abigail looks forward to taking the LPU stage for the fourth time as a Missionary and hearing how much everyone loves the show!
Mariah Kavanaugh (Miss Adelaide)
Mariah Kavanaugh is a sophomore Media and Communications major at LPU. Growing up, Mariah loved theater and was thankful to be a part of shows like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Schoolhouse Rock and more! She also was a part of her first LPU ARTS Production last semester in Narnia! After so many years of missing performing she is so thankful for the opportunity to start again. When she’s not on stage, Mariah loves to play soccer, read, write, and hike! She is so extremely thrilled and grateful to be part of this fire production. She would like to thank God for all the lessons and memories she gained throughout this experience. She would also like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support. Finally, she would like to thank Adelaide for teaching her to have endurance, creativity, and spunk.
Sabine Yalung (Ferguson)
Sabine Yalung is a senior at LPU, serving as ASG Vice President and playing on the women’s soccer team. She grew up dancing and performing in theatre alongside her four sisters—Bailey, Bryce, Brynn, and Bellini. Excited to dance in her first LPU musical, Sabine is grateful to her family and friends for encouraging her to pursue this performance as her last show.
Saysha Brown (Vernon)
Saysha Brown is currently a junior at LPU and has a deep passion for theater, film, and creativity. She was previously cast as Constance Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers, and the Unicorn in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She is honored to perform in this year’s production and is excited to bring this new character to life. Saysha would like to thank Carissa Hawksworth for giving her the incredible opportunity and gives all glory to Jesus for allowing her to perform on stage. She is so excited to see how God’s light shines through this musical and the entire cast during this performance.
Gianna Prichett (Mimi)
Gianna Pritchett is a junior majoring in Psychology at life pacific University where she is also a dedicated member of the Women’s Basketball Team. As a student athlete she is always striving to balance the demands of academics, athletics, and her personal growth. This year, Gianna is excited to take on a challenge by being a part of the musical, where she looks forward to exploring and expanding her God-given talents in a new and creative way. Beyond the stage, she is most excited about the opportunity to build deep and meaningful relationships with the talented cast and crew, and to share in the joy of creating something beautiful together. She is eager to grow not only as a performer but as a person, all while embracing the sense of community and collaboration that makes theatre so special.
Emely Mortimer (Alison)
Emily Mortimer is a third year student at LPU and a first semester on campus student after being online from NH. She found her love for theatre in high school and is exited to be in a production again at LPU! Some of her favorite roles have included Birdie in Anybody for Tea, Little Becky Two Shoes in Urine town, and an acrobatic dancer in Pippin. She has also enjoyed directing 3 shows and helping to choreograph 1 back at home. She is so exited to see all her cast mates bring a fun, artistic show to everyone who comes to Guys and Dolls! Jolene Reyna (Ensemble)
Jolene Reyna is a sophomore majoring in Biblical Studies at Life Pacific University. She’s had a love for theatre and the film ever since she was young. When she’s not on stage, Jolene enjoys being with friends, watching films, and engaging in random impulsive activities. You can find her shouting somewhere on campus. She is thrilled to be part of this and would like to thank her family, friends, and overall the Lord for their support!
Richelle Stolley (Master of Ceremonies)
Richelle Stolley is a sophomore. She is Worship, Art, Media major at [Life Pacific University]. She has previously appeared in the Hunt back of Notre Dame (tech team,) and Narnia (the witches Army/crew). When she’s not on stage, Richelle enjoys baking, hanging out with friends, singing, Crocheting/knitting and reading. She is extremely excited to be part of this production. She wants to thank her mom (Danielle) and dad (Ken) for showing up whenever she had school events. She would also like to thank her sister (Brianna Frank) for being a person she can rely on to help her get through the nerves of being on stage and overall just being a funny cast member. and last but certainly not least a thank you to all of her friends for their support. Emma Escarzago (Ensemble)
Emmalee Escarzaga is an LPU freshman double majoring in Ministry and Media & Communications. This is her first play at LPU and she is so thankful for the opportunity to grow and learn with such an incredible and unique group of people like this cast! Emmalee loves spending time with friends and family and will forever be grateful for the incredible community that surrounds her!
