Cadence Barreda (Eurydice)
CADENCE BARREDA, 9th grader at Deer Creek High School, is excited to be a part of Eurydice! She did her first play when she was 4 yrs old & discovered she’s happiest on the stage. Some of her favorite roles include Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, Morticia in The Addams Family, and Ngana in South Pacific. Thank you Dalton and A’Mari, the amazing cast and crew for making this an fantastic experience. Philippians 4:13
Crayton Haney (Orpheus)
Crayton Haney is 17 years old and has been doing theatre for eight years. Some of his recent roles include a Lamplighter and Audience Host in Lyric Theatre’s A Christmas Carol, Javert (Les Mis SE), Lefou (Beauty and the Beast), and Jack and Race in productions of Newsies at KidsAlive! and Deer Creek High School, respectively. He has filmed 11 choreography videos and traveled to JTF Europe with iTheatrics. When not performing, he enjoys reading, juggling, and playing guitar and piano. Crayton would like to thank Dalton and A’Mari for their wonderful direction and for spearheading the first play at KA!
Carter Haney (Father)
Carter Haney is 16 years old and a sophomore at Deer Creek. Favorite roles include Thenardier (Les Mis SE), Davey (Newsies), Beast (Beauty and the Beast), and Mr. Banks (Mary Poppins, Jr). He has filmed 5 choreo videos, done 2 workshops, and travelled to JTF Europe with iTheatrics. Carter has been with KidsAlive since its beginning in 2015, and this is his first play! Outside of theatre, he enjoys playing piano, guitar, and reading. Carter is so grateful for Dalton and A’mari’s visionary direction, and for this talented cast.
Carter Johansen (Lord of the Underworld)
Carter Johansen has always wanted to take part in theater and has looked for every opportunity ever since he played his first role as Gavroche in Les Miserables. In middle school he joined Kismet Arts Studio and played the role of Jack in Into The Woods. Carter participates in the Deer Creek High School Band and has learned to play three different brass instruments. While taking part in the Tulsa One Act Festival Carter won All-Star Cast Member for his role as Owl in Jonathan Young’s Sunspot. Carter also starred as Crutchie in Newsies with DCHS. After being introduced to KidsAlive!, he knew he had to take part in their next productions and is so excited to continue his career in the theater.
Lilly Boone (Big Stone)
Lilly Boone is so excited to be apart of her first show at Kids Alive! She has participated in drama and musical theatre for many years, and plans to continue for many more. Lilly is currently a sophomore at Edmond Memorial High School where she is heavily involved in the drama department. Her previous credits include Beauty and the Beast, And Then There Were None, and many others. She would like to thank her family, friends, Dalton, A’Mari, and her incredible cast for making this show such an amazing and fun experience!
Tessa Dorrell (Loud Stone)
Tessa Dorrell is a senior at Jones High School. Involved in musical theatre since the summer after 3rd grade when she played Gus in Cinderella, she has been in many shows since then. Some of her favorite roles include: The Artful Dodger in Oliver!, Mulan in Mulan, Raja in I Never Saw another Butterfly, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Babette in Beauty and the Beast, and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical. Each role was completely different and allowed her to grow as a performer. She heard about KidsAlive from Miss Shawna, who cast her in her very first show and will always hold a special place in Tessa’s heart and has made KidsAlive into a remarkable organization! Many thanks to Dalton and A’Mari for their support in Eurydice. She plans to attend OSU in the fall and major in sports media.
Ryan Hughes (Little Stone)
Hi, my name is Ryan, and I’m an eighth grader at St. Eugene Catholic School. This is my first play, and I am super excited to participate with KidsAlive! I’m newer to theater, but in the last six months, I’ve performed in the Sound of Music, Aladdin, Jr., and most recently, I was Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka, Jr. I’m excited to participate in theater at Bishop McGuinness High School later this fall.
Sawyer Schultheis (Quiet Stone)
Sawyer Schultheis's acting credits include Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid with Poteet Theater and she has done Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, with Kids Alive!
