Tommy Varela-Kossak
Tommy Varela-Kossak is a proud Kayhi alum. After graduating from Kayhi in 2015, he went to college in Chicago and received his BA in Theatre. After working in Chicago with theatres including About Face Theatre, Other Theatre, and others he decided to continue his education journey. Tommy earned his Masters in Teaching from UAS in 2021 and was offered a job at Kayhi! Tommy has enjoyed building this program and is so thankful to have students who are dedicated and love this artform, Kayhi Drama Kings exists because of them.

Christina Hughes
Hailing originally from New York City, Christina Hughes is the co-founder of the non-profit dance company Hughes and Vecchione Dance Projects. She moved to Ketchikan in March 2021, and loves making and sharing art in the Ketchikan community. Her unique environment has driven her to further pursue her interests in dance filmmaking. She has directed and produced short dance films, and is currently creating the first ever Ketchikan Dance Film Festival which will premiere on September 30, 2023. She is incredibly grateful to share, promote and inspire the creative process in such a wonderful community, and is thankful to be choreographing her second Kayhi Kings Production!

Stephen Varela-Kossak
Originally from Chicago, Stephen Varela-Kossak is a designer and stage technician with a dual-BA in Theatrical Design & Technology and Performance. He worked in the Chicago Theatre industry in a myriad of focuses, with credits including but not limited to: Spamilton, An American Parody (Royal George Theatre); Machinal (Greenhouse Theatre Center); Gefilte Fish Chronicles (Chicago Musical Theatre Festival); How We Got On (Haven Theatre). He was also the Resident Casting Director for Other Theatre. Upon moving to Ketchikan, he has been an active member of the art community, working on productions with both Andiamo Dance Company and First City Players.
