Amber Redmond (Margaret)
Amber Redmond originates from St. Joseph MO, but has called KC home for the past decade. She is a graduate of Missouri Western State University with a B.A.A. in Performance & Cinematic Arts. Amber has been drawn to the arts since a very young age. Her first performances involved forcing her Grandparents to watch her act out the entirety of Walt Disney’s The Little Mermaid (as every character- of course). She has appeared in shows such as Doubt (RRT), Begetters, Secrets & Lies, The Piano Lesson, Fairview, and Is God Is (KCMPT). Amber is extremely proud to be working with KC Melting Pot Theatre and would like to thank her family and partner for their constant support and encouragement.
Lynn King (Odessa)
Lynn King is a native of Kansas City Kansas and has been performing for Kansas City Audiences for over 30 years.  She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has regional and national credits in theatre, commercials, and film.  During her career as a theatre instructor, she directed over thirty productions. Lynn is one of the original members of the KC Melting Pot Collective, appearing in their first-ever production of Old School Ghetto Gospel, in 2013. Lynn was last seen in KCMPT's production of STEW. She also stays busy working in other capacities with KCMPT. KCMPT provided Lynn with her directorial debut in 2019 and she was privileged to be one of the all-female directors in the 2021-23. Solomon Langley (David)
Solomon Langley is from Smithfield, Virginia. His works include: Cyrano De Bergerac (KC Rep) The Tempest & Romeo and Juliet (Heart of America Shakespeare Festival), Choir Boy (Zeider's American Dream Theater), A Soldier's Play (The Virginia Arts Festival), The Wiz, The Tempest, A Christmas Carol (Virginia Stage Company), Topdog/Underdog, Fixing King John, The Motherf**cker With The Hat, Thinner Than Water, Cymbeline (UMKC Conservatory), Once on This Island, Ruined and Fences (NSU Theatre Company). His education includes: BA in Drama and Theatre, Norfolk State University; 3rd year MFA acting candidate at UMKC Conservatory. This is Solomon’s first show with KCMPT and is truly grateful to be a part of this cast and to be around such amazing individuals.
Craig Lindsay (Luke)
Craig Lindsay attained his BA in Drama & Theatre at Norfolk State University. Hailing all the way from Maryland, Craig is a third year MFA Acting student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His regional works include: "Cyrano De Bergerac" & "The Royale" with KC Repertory Theatre, "Like Six O'Clock" with Just Off Broadway Theater, "A Soldier's Play" with The Virginia Arts Festival, "The Tempest" with The Virginia Stage Company. His educational woks include: "Topdog Underdog", "Fixing King John", and "The Motherfucker with the Hat" with the UMKC Conservatory. Lindsay has also appeared in "Gem of The Ocean" and "Once on this Island" with the NSU Theatre Company. "The Amen Corner" will be his KCMPT debut.
Jackie Price (Sister Boxer)
Jackie has had a passion for entertainment and performing arts since an early age! She takes pride in her part of creating memorable theatrical experiences for those in her community. Jackie received her training from the University of Central Missouri, achieving her BFA Musical Theatre degree, as well as the Tasha Smith Acting Studio. Upon completing her education, Jackie has been cast in various short films and theatre productions within the Kansas City Area. Jackie has appeared in Dominique Morriseau’s Pipeline (Unicorn Theatre), Matt Cox’s Puffs (The Coterie), and Tony Kushner’s Caroline or Change (Spinning Tree Theatre), and Marys Seacole (Unicorn Theatre). This is Jackie’s seventh production with KC Melting Pot Theatre with her last seen in STEW. She is so excited to be back and a part of this cast!
Douglass Walker (Brother Boxer/Musical Director)
Douglass Walker is a native of Kansas City, MO and has been singing since the age of 10. He started singing in church and his love for singing grew from there and transitioned to the stage. He is excited to be making his debut with KC Melting Pot Theatre in this production of The Amen Corner. Performance credits include: The Coterie Theatre: Alice's Wonderland; Musical Theater Heritage: The Christmas Spectacular, Ruby Room Series-For The Culture, STEVIE, In The Heights; Spinning Tree Theatre: Caroline or Change, Billy Elliot, Once On This Island; The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City: 5 Guys Named Moe, A Soldier's Play, Memphis (2018), OTHELLO: A Hip-Hop Remix; The Black Repertory Theatre & The White Theatre at the J; Memphis (2022). Douglass would like to thank his family for their support. A special thanks goes to his beautiful and loving wife Melonnie Walker.
Dionna Patrick (Sister Moore)
Dionna Patrick is delighted to make her debut with KC Melting Pot Theatre. She is a Junior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City achieving her Bachelor's in Theater with an emphasis on performance. Some of her recent credits include Arzial, a demon prince in Of Monsters and Men, and Jack Kirby in King Kirby. Dionna thanks her family and friends for their continued support. 
Adeana Carr (Ida Jackson/Sister Rice)
Adeana Carr is a local Kansas City actress. Her recent Kansas City metro acting credits include Elsa in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Tituba in The Crucible, Margo in Bright Star the musical, Little Sally in Urinetown the musical, and Singer/Dancer/Actor at Worlds of Fun. Adeana is a new member of the KCMPT family and is excited to be a part of this powerful story.
Donna Moon (Sister Sally/Sister Douglass)
Donna Moon is from Knoxville, TN. This is her second production with KCMPT. She loves making theater because she gets to be apart of turning words on a page into a living thing. She is delighted to be back at Just Off Broadway Theatre and to make her appearance onstage.
