Syknese Fields (Anaia)
SyKnese Fields is an actress and model from Kansas City, Kansas. She has appeared in Stew (KC Melting Pot Theatre), Akeelah & The Bee (The Coterie Theatre), Two Trains Running (KC Melting Pot Theatre), and many commercials. SyKnese has earned three regional Emmy Awards for her work in broadcast journalism. She obtained a BA from Wichita State University.
Haley Johnson (Racine)
Haley Johnson is making her Melting Pot debut in “Is God Is”. Johnson, an MFA graduate from UF, has previously been in productions such as Kansas City Repertory Theatre's “the ripple, the wave that carried me home”, and Black Repertory Theatre's “After Midnight”. You can see Johnson in the upcoming production of “McBitches” at the Unicorn Theatre this October. Haley Johnson would like to thank her supportive family and the cast and crew.
Amber Redmond (SHE/Angie)
Amber Redmond originates from St. Joseph MO, but has called KC home for the past decade. She is a graduate of Missouri Western State University with a B.A.A. in Performance & Cinematic Arts. Amber has been drawn to the arts since a very young age. Her first performances involved forcing her Grandparents to watch her act out the entirety of Walt Disney’s The Little Mermaid (as every character- of course). She has appeared in shows such as Doubt (RRT), Begetters, Secrets & Lies, The Piano Lesson, and Fairview (KCMPT). Amber is extremely proud to be working with KC Melting Pot Theatre and would like to thank her family and partner for their constant support and encouragement.
Lewis Morrow (Chuck Hall/MAN)
Lewis Morrow is an actor/playwright from Kansas City, KS who also serves as the Director of New Play Development at KC Melting Pot. He has been on stage here at KCMPT in shows such as 2121, Sunset Baby, Radio Golf, King Hedley II, Baybra’s Tulips, Begetters, Mother/son, and most recently The Piano Lesson. Additionally, his plays have been produced or developed in North Carolina, Michigan, Las Vegas, Texas, and shows in 2022 in Indiana and Kentucky. He most recently published a book titled “Black Matters: Lewis Morrow Plays” which features his trilogy of plays centered around family.
E. Larry Guidry (Riley)
E. Larry Guidry born a Midwest native but raised in the bayous of Louisiana started entertaining at the age of 26 in the arena of Poetry. Larry has been on the KCMPT scene since Lewis Morrow's Begetters and is a talent in both Theatre and Cinema receiving credits with directors Aaron L. Williams, Ile Haggins, Jacob Parker and Issac Alongi. After a brief stint with acting in 2011, the acting bug surfaced again in 2021, and since then, E. Larry has been in 15+ productions. Every character is an opportunity to give the world a piece of me. "Mother did a great job indirectly introducing me to my calling." E. Larry continues to work diligently on his craft in becoming the best storyteller he can be.  
Daniel André (Scotch)
Daniel André hails from Kansas City, MO. He is a graduate of The University of Central Missouri. His career started at nine in his elementary school play "Follow the Drinking Gourd." He said, "I knew then that I had found my passion, my purpose." Daniel has acted in productions at the historic Connelly Theater in New York, NY. Daniel was last seen in our offering of Fairview and various other shows during his career. This is Daniel's fifth production with KC Melting Pot Theatre. Daniel credits God for his talents and his family for always supporting him. "This is for you!"
Terrace Wyatt Jr (Understudy)
Terrace Wyatt, Jr. is blessed to make his Kansas City Melting Pot Theatre debut as their FIRST EVER UNDERSTUDY! He graduated in 2020, received his B.F.A. in Theatre at William Jewell College and has been booked and blessed in the theatre world. Credits include: Dreamgirls (New Theatre & Restaurant); Peter Pan & Wendy (KCRep.); A Raisin in the Sun (The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City); Smart People (Kansas City Actors Theatre); A Charlie Brown Christmas (The Coterie Theatre); Toni Stone (The Unicorn Theatre); Titanic: The Musical (Music Theatre Heritage); Something Rotten! (The White Theatre at the J), and many more. He recently made his professional debut as a playwright, producer, and director with Theatre Community Fund of Kansas City’s 2nd Annual Crescendo Awards Festival of his play Black Man, MO [Missouri] at The Arts Asylum. Catch Terrace in the upcoming production: Grapes of Wrath (Forges Theatre Company / Arts Asylum). I'm being guided through God’s plan to this very day with my supporting family, friends, and peers!
