Lydia (*Jan Rogge)
Jan Rogge is delighted to be making her acting debut with KC Melting Pot Theatre. She is thrilled to be working with Nicole Hodges Persley and Lewis Morrow, on his new play, Mother/son. She last worked with Lewis in Lynn Nottage’s play, Sweat, at the Unicorn Theatre. She is a core artistic member with KCAT, where she has last performed in The Price, The Pests, Night Mother, Blithe Spirit, A Lie In The Mind, directed Sea Marks, My Old Lady, Crimes of The Heart, Good People, Marion Bridge and Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? (Kansas City Actors Theatre). A few of her local credits include playing Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare In Love, Hamlet, A Winters Tale, Othello (Heart Of America Shakespeare Festival), a world premiere, Unreliable, (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Tribes, Other Desert Cities, The Clean House (Unicorn Theatre), Casa Valentina (Spinning Tree Theatre), You Can’t Take It With You (New Theatre) and Eleemosynary (Fish Tank). Her regional credits include Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Cornell University, North Shore Music Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival and Old Globe Theatre. John (Lewis Morrow)
Lewis Morrow is an actor/playwright from Kansas City, KS who also serves as the Director of New Play Development at KC Melting Pot. He has been on stage here at KCMPT in shows such as 2121, Sunset Baby, Radio Golf, King Hedley II, Baybra’s Tulips, and most recently begetters. Additionally, his plays have been produced or developed in North Carolina, Michigan, Las Vegas, Texas, and shows in 2022 in Indiana and Kentucky.
Tisha (Jackie Price)
Jackie has had a passion for entertainment and performing arts since an early age! She takes pride in her part of creating memorable theatrical experiences for those in her community. Jackie received her training from the University of Central Missouri, achieving her BFA Musical Theatre degree, as well as the Tasha Smith Acting Studio. Upon completing her education, Jackie has been cast in various short films and theatre productions within the Kansas City Area. Jackie has appeared in Dominique Morriseau’s Pipeline (Unicorn Theatre), Matt Cox’s Puffs (The Coterie), and Tony Kushner’s Caroline or Change (Spinning Tree Theatre). This is Jackie’s third production with KC Melting Pot Theatre with her last seen in Begtters. She is so excited to be back and a part of this cast!
