Antonia Kasper is writer, producer, actress, and director. Right before the shutdown, The Playwrights Circle, produced a staged reading of her short play, Sleeping with Harvey, in February 2020. Last summer, she produced, wrote, and directed True Confessions of The Straight Man – (A 90’s Farce) which premiered during and celebrated World Pride in NYC. She has performed stand-up at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and has studied at Circle in The Square and The Actors Studio. With a BA in Theater and English from Tulane University, Antonia has written, produced, directed, and performed many theatrical projects throughout the United States as well as in Europe. During the pandemic, she recently founded The Solo Artists’ Mastermind Group, which meets monthly via zoom and helps seasoned solo performers stay creative, supportive, and accountable in their artistic pursuits. Her production company, Kasper Productions, focuses on women geared material. Since writing 45 Coffee Dates, based on her true story, she has been a guest speaker as a dating expert and has formed The Dating Smart Workshops for both men and women. KATHERINE ELLIOT (Director): is co-founder of Wild Banshee, a non-profit theatre company focused on new works, specifically those of underheard voices. She is a former producer and performer for The Tempest Ladies, an all-female Shakespeare ensemble (The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and has independently produced and/or performed in numerous projects ranging from off- broadway theatre (Sammy’s Bowery Follies, Dog Sees God) to low-budget film (One, Sisters, Unspoken (pre-production)). Katherine serves on the Board of Directors for The League of Professional Theatre Women, has her MA in English Literature, and is an actor (SAG/AFTRA), visual artist and writer. She has written and directed her own work (The Academy), and most recently directed Pooja Mallipamula’s The Deed is Done.
