Angels in America: Perestroika Cast

Jon Turner (Roy Cohn)
Jon was last seen as Old Romeo at the New World Shakespeare Company. He also played Young King Lear and the Dead Polonius. When not performing, Jon enjoys tube socks and soup.
Élise Hanson (Harper Pitt)
Élise Hanson is a playwright, producer, director, and actor, and boy, is she tired. Undertaking this play is a dream come true, and she is beyond thrilled to play Harper among a company of such talented and lovely actors. She has been producing and acting in her original plays most of this year with a brief break to play Viola in Twelfth Night. Favorite roles include Hamlet in Hamlet and Virginia Mayo in The Secret Son of Hitler. She would like to dedicate this performance to her best friend and ride-or-die, Greg, who needled her to watch the HBO adaptation of this play until at last she relented. Now she and Greg try to watch it every year on his birthday, Élise’s zany theater schedule permitting. Thank you, Greg, for giving me Angels.
Megan Chase (The Angel)
Born in Prussia in the early 1800s, Megan was a natural mathematician, philosopher, and lover. Her radical social theories shaped much of the political conversation to this very day. In fear that she would inspire revolution, the powers of the time exiled her to England, where she lived the remainder of her days. Yet even though the powerful feared her, she was beloved of the masses. Her final resting place in Highgate Cemetery is still visited by white people with dreadlocks every day.
Stacey Jenson (Hannah Pitt)
Stacey is thrilled to be part of Élise’s Angels. Since arriving in SLC in 2016, she has performed on both stage and screen. Recent Utah theatre credits include: A Doll’s House, Part 2 (SLAC), Gidion’s Knot (Pinnacle), Ion (The Classical Greek Theatre Festival), Ideation, What We’re Up Against, Dinner, Page-to-Stage (Wasatch Theatre Company). In addition to acting, Stacey has served as Dialect Coach for Mary Poppins (Sandy Arts Guild), Cabaret (SLCC), A View from the Bridge, Noises Off  (The Grand), Dracula, Eclipsed  and The Rivals (University of Utah), and served as Dialect Consultant for Angels in America (The National Theatre, London). She has also directed To Be Frank… at SLCC for three seasons. Stacey holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Utah's Actor Training Program, an MFA in Acting from American Conservatory Theatre, and an MFA with Distinction in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (London). Stacey is an Adjunct Professor with the U of U’s Actor Training Program and SLCC’s Theatre Program.
Paul Sonnier Jr. (Belize)

He lived the first 14 years of his life growing up and traveling around Europe and Asia before settling in Utah at the age of 14, but his heart is in Louisiana where his parents and most of his family is from. Paul's latest project was the upcoming horror film Bundy Manor.
Jesse Curran (Henry)
After five Olympic medals, three Grammys, and one hot dog eating championship, Jesse is trying his hat at acting. He also does some poetry: "Roses are red, violets are blue...I'm sitting right behind you."
Jeff Stinson (Joe Pitt)
Jeff first saw Angels in America in 2005 at the Babcock Theater and Joe has been on his bucket list ever since. He will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be part of this production and is astounded by the talent of the cast.
