Ella (Debra Rich)
Debra Rich is an actor, producer, playwright, and award-winning journalist. She was most recently seen in Carpenter Square’s “Door to Door.” Other acting credits include “Masha in Vanya, Sonya, Masha, and Spike,” Elsa in “The Road to Mecca,” Catherine in “Rapture Blister Burn,” and the one woman show “Every Brilliant Thing.” She will play Nora in “A Doll’s House Part II” this winter at Theatre Artists’ Studio in Phoenix, AZ. Her plays “Twist of the Magi” and “Resisting Irrelevancy” have played to sold-out houses in Phoenix and Seattle. Debra recently completed filming on “Unexpecting” a Patricia Heaton film. You may have seen her co-starring with George Lopez in “Car Dogs,” or in numerous national commercials. Or if you’re really old, you might remember her from her co-starring role on Melrose Place or the CBS movie “Strangers on a Train.” A relative new-comer to OKC, Debra is thrilled to be on-stage here and to be the Associate Artistic Director of the new Jewish Theatre of Oklahoma.
God (Hal Kohlman)
Hal Kohlman teaches acting and directing and has taught theatre history at OCU. For twelve years he has been the artistic director of Theatre OCU’s Stage 2 season. In 2019 he directed Arcadia for the OCU School of theatre having previously directed Phedre, Pterodactyls, The Nether, Holy Ghosts and The Memorandum. Other shows at OCU include The Bartered Bride, The Man Who Came to Dinner,Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and several years of Christmas Carol. Best known in OKC as an actor, Hal performed with Oklahoma Shakespeare in the park for 21 years. King Lear, Macbeth, Prospero, Shylock, Friar Lawrence, Lord Capulet, Leontes, Polonius, Malvolio, and Touchstone are a few of his notable roles. Hal also directed All’s Well that Ends Well and The Merry Wives of Windsor for OSP. Locally he has also worked for Carpenter Square Theatre, Oklahoma Theatre Company, and Oklahoma City Rep. A member of AEA, Hal graduated from Rice University with a degree in English Literature and from UT Austin with a MFA in directing for the stage.
Lior (Caleb Burns)
Caleb Burns is a current student attending Oklahoma City University. He was encouraged by his family, friends, and high school theatre director to pursue acting. Caleb intends to spread his creativity through TV, film, and theatre. In his free time, Caleb enjoys drawing and writing. Special thanks go out to his Mom and Dad for supporting him through thick and thin.
