The Laramie Project Cast

Daxton Anderson (Ensemble)
Daxton Anderson is a freshman Drama major. This is his first production at JSU. He previously played the roles of Chuck Cranston (Footloose), and Rapunzel's Prince (Into the Woods). He would like to thank his family and Steven Porter for their support.
Abbie Beatty (Ensemble)
Abbie Beatty is a senior whose credits include Anne Frank (Anne), Company (Kathy), She Kills Monsters (Evil Gabbi/Narrator), The Giver (Mother/Chief Elder), How I Became a Pirate (choreography), Once Upon a Mattress (dance captain), Winston Drives Big Jim (dramaturgy), and more. At JSU, she also holds leadership positions in Alpha Psi Omega, the Marching Ballerinas, Gamecock Orientation, and Alpha Xi Delta. Abbie is honored to play a part in telling this story on the stage (and screen!).
Dylan Curvin (Ensemble)
Dylan Curvin is a Senior here at JSU. You might have seen him in Imaginary Invalid as La Pied or Steve in She Kills Monsters. Dylan plans to pursue acting in the future after he graduates next fall. He wants to thank his family, friends, and professors for all of their support.
Kenli Doss (Ensemble)
Kenli is a senior at JSU with a double major in both English and Drama. She considers herself a writer and an actress with a love for Drama—only on stage, of course. You may have seen her as Angélique in last year’s production of The Imaginary Invalid here at JSU. She is grateful to have the opportunity to act in The Laramie Project and is excited for everyone to see the show!
Carolyn Humphrey (Ensemble)
Carolyn Humphrey is a Theater Performance major at Jacksonville State University. This is her first production with JSU.
Jake Lewis (Ensemble)
Jake Lewis is a junior here at Jacksonville State and is delighted to be a part of the ensemble presenting The Laramie Project. He was also in Right, Winston Drives Big Jim, and Once Upon A Mattress
Christian Watts (Ensemble)
is a 20 year old sophomore and theatre performance major here at JSU and is having a blast. He’s excited to join the cast of The Imaginary Invalid playing the role of Doctor Purgeon. He has previously been seen in She Kills Monsters and played the role of Chuck Biggs. He also was seen in Peter Pan playing the role of Curly, Harry from Company, and Captain Braid Beard in How I Became a Pirate. He fell in love with theatre when he was 9 years old. He’s truly blessed and honored to be in show with a very talented cast and he thanks Michael Boynton for this amazing opportunity and his parents and friends for their support.
Laurellei Veasy (Ensemble)
Laurellei Veasey (Ensemble) is a freshman drama major at JSU and is so grateful to be a part of this wonderful production. In the past, she has been a part of The Music Man (Ensemble) with CCT competition troupe, The Yellow Boat (Benjamin Saar)with JHS Theatre Department, and Peter Pan (Native Dancer) with JSU Theatre Department, and many others. This is her first production with JSU as a student and is very excited to be a Gamecock. This ones for Doc!
