Director/Choreographer/Set Designer
Nicholas J ClareyNicholas J. Clarey is Artistic Director of interACT Theatre Productions. He worked with and founded several theatre companies across the Northeast and served as Theatre Education Program Director at Dryden Schools near Ithaca, New York, before landing in NJ where he assumed the helm of interACT in 2012. Nicholas's and interACT's work have been repeatedly recognized by Broadway World, the NJ Perry Awards, and the Essex County Local Arts Program. interACT proudly represents Essex County through deliberately diverse casting, original works, and high-quality productions in the Maplewood-South Orange communities and beyond.

Music Director/Keyboard 1
Holland J JancaitisHolland J. Jancaitis is director of music ministry at Morrow Memorial United Methodist Church in Maplewood, NJ. He holds the DMA and MM degrees in choral conducting from Yale University and a BFA in piano performance from Carnegie Mellon University. Holland is an accomplished musical director in theatrical settings, currently serving as the Music Director in Residence with interACT Theatre Productions of Maplewood, NJ, with whom he has MD’d "Carrie: The Musical", "The Full Monty", "Into the Woods", "Leader of the Pack", "Once Upon a Mattress", "Clue", "Sister Act", "Legally Blonde", "...Forum", "Pippin", "Wedding Singer" and "Footloose". In 2016 he was nominated for an NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Musical Direction for "Big River". Prior to his appointment at Morrow Church, Holland was assistant director of choral ensembles at Cornell University. He is sought after as a piano teacher, vocal coach, and accompanist.

Serena Marie SmithAfter so much fun as a co-producer for interACT’s Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Serena is glad to be back to produce this fantastic show! She is also a theatre, TV/film, commercial, and voiceover actress. Serena's most recent theatre credits include Jaja’s African Hair Braiding (Bea) and Gloria: A Life (Patrena), each earning her a BroadwayWorld nomination for Best Supporting Performer in a Play. Stage Manager
Charles PenszynskiCharles graduated from Flagler College in 2024 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Some of his previous credits at Flagler include: Every Brilliant Thing (Stage Manager), Almost, Maine (Director), If/Then (Stage Manager), and Vanities (Director). He previously worked on interACT’s fall production of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Stage Manager). Fight Director
Craig HillCraig has been with interACT just over over 4 yrs. He performed in Eternal Flamer: The Ballad of Jesse Blade and served as Fight & Stunt Choreographer for Fright Night, Guys & Dolls The Musical and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. He has offered his services to many other projects outside of theater and is a member of an international lightsaber stage combat charity organization named Saber Guild. With that along with 30+ years of Martial Arts experience, his goal is to try to give community theater that Hollywood style treatment.

Intimacy Director
Amanda Castro-ConroyAmanda studied Acting, Directing, & Stage management at Ramapo College. Most recent Intimacy Coordination credits are: Secret Notebooks productions of Hamlet and Monsters, TNT's Production of Romeo and Juliet, and Apricots Sky One Act Festival. Her acting credits include Prioress Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet (Teaneck New Theatre), Ronda in Almost Maine (WHATCo), Robin Starveling in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (WHATCo), Helena in Always Well That Ends Well (Rockland Shakespeare Company) Kimberly in A Killer Reunion (WHATCo), Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew (Ramapo College), which she received an Irene Ryan's nomination for. Her Production credits include You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (WHATCo) where the production won Broadway world awards for Best Musical, Best Ensemble, and Best Direction of musical. She was one of the Producers for WHATCo's Deadly Desserts, which received NJACT Parry Award for best original production. Special thanks to her husband Matt for his love & support.

Katie Claire HarriganKatie Claire Harrigan is an NJ-based stage manager and performer who is so excited to be returning to interACT. Off-Broadway credits include The Opening (ASM, Players Theatre) and Apron Strings: The Ties that Bind (SM, AMT Theatre). Other SM credis: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (ASM, interACT), Wizard of Oz (SM, Villagers Theatre), MIX/MATCH Writing Lab, (Sub. SM, Baruch PAC). Up next, Katie will be the Production Stage Manager for Spirit of the Game: The Ultimate Musical, premiering Off-Broadway at Asylum NYC in May! @katieclaire_h

Asst Director/Choreographer
Efrain CortezEfrain is excited to be part of his first production with interACT Theatre Productions. Regionally, he has directed and choreographed A Chorus Line, Show Boat, Oklahoma!, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, and the one-man show Men on the Verge of a His-Panic Breakdown to name a few. He gratefully thanks his loving family, Anthony, Abby, and Josh, for their continued support and time. Thank you for all your input and love!

Kristin MylesKristin is thrilled to be back at InterACT for yet another show as an assistant choreographer. She is elated to be working with such a great cast and team. Hugs and kisses to the cast for putting in hard work from beginning to end , I love you all!

Lisa TaschLisa Tasch is so happy to help the interACT family once again. She loves the scavenger hunt they always send her on. Break legs!!!

Andrea RedmountAndrea is usually a stage manager but decided to hang up her headset for a bit and try her hand at props. This is Andrea's fifth interACT production. Other interACT productions include "Footloose", "Fright Night", and "Guys & Dolls." Andrea is also active with the CDC Theatre where she helps run their children's program and has stage managed several main stage productions such as "Wizard of Oz", "Twelfth Night", "Carrie the Musical", "25th Annual...Spelling Bee", and many others. She also co-founded the Hispanic Theatre Festival. She has degrees in from Ball State in Theatre and History, and a degree in Children's Media from Centennial College in Toronto. By day, Andrea is a middle school teacher.

Laurie ConradLaurie Conrad studied Costume Design and worked under Esther Elfenbein at SUNY Oneonta Theatre Department. She transferred to New York City to pursue a career in fashion design. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology she worked in New York's garment district for 18 years until her heart led her back to theater and costume design. Her lifelong passions are historical costume and folk dress.

Elijah J SchreinerElijah is a New York-based lighting designer whose work spans immersive theater, regional stages, and performing arts education. Jayla RodriguezJayla Rodriguez is an 18-year-old senior at Payne Tech in Newark, New Jersey. She previously worked as stage crew in interACT Theatre Productions’ "Guys and Dolls". For the past three years, she has served as a lighting operator and stage manager for her school’s productions and has performed throughout Essex County. She has also appeared in NiCori Studio and Productions’ Spring Cabaret in the past. Jayla is grateful to interACT Theatre Productions for this opportunity and to the cast and crew for their collaboration.

She has been a part of the interACT family since the fall of 2012 performing as Ann Putnam in The Crucible.
