The Wedding Singer Cast

Robbie Hart (Miguel Vega)
Miguel is beyond ecstatic to be in interACT’s production of The Wedding Singer as one of his favorite musical characters: Robbie Hart. Miguel was last seen in interACT’s fall ‘22 production of 1984 as Winston Smith. He would like to thank the cast and crew for all the hard work they put in to make this show possible and amazing, his vocal coach Alexa Teebo, his friends and family for their support and Izzie Lavender for her love and being the one he’ll grow old with.
Julia Sullivan (Rebecca Monk)
Rebecca Monk is so excited to be back with interACT! You might recognize her voice from their Radio Production of “Ghostlights”. Other favorite productions include Alice in “Bright Star”, Mother in “Ragtime”, Girl in “Once” and Patsy in “Always Patsy Cline”, and more! Rebecca also received her BFA in Musical Theatre from MSU. She would like to thank everyone at interACT, her husband and her family and friends. Rebecca also owns Noteworthy Academy of Music where she teaches voice and piano.
Sammy (Kaan Akyol)
Kaan is beyond excited to be a part of The Wedding Singer and the interACT family! He can be seen recently in the indie film ‘Unknown’, and has been in several short films including the award-winning ‘The Van’ and ‘Skiff’. Kaan studied at the Houde School of Acting. When he is not on set Kaan likes to play guitar and video games, and watch horror movies with his wife Joyce, and their pets.
Holly (Jenna Zielinski)
Jenna is so excited to be making her interACT debut in The Wedding Singer! Previous credits include Godspell (Day by Day), Wild Party (Jackie), A Chorus Line (Val), Urinetown (Little Becky Two Shoes). When she isn’t on stage, Jenna enjoys her other role as a physical therapist for her amazing students who inspire her every day.
George (Ronni McAllister)
Ronni McAllister is so excited to be making her interACT debut in The Wedding Singer! A 2022 graduate from AMDA, Ronni has spent the past year living and working as an actress/musician around NYC, Jersey and Pennsylvania, and it feels wonderful now to be stepping back into her musical theatre roots! Every role she plays, male or female, is a step forward for trans visibility in theatre, and it is Ronni's hope that her performance as George opens doors for a new generation of TGNC performers!
Rosie Hart (Molly McCloskey Barber)
Molly is once again thrilled to be performing with InterACT . Last season she was seen as Bertha in Pippin and enjoyed being part of Color My World. Other past favorite roles include, Vera in Mame & Aunt Eller in Oklahoma. A show set in the 80's if familiar territory for Molly, she was blessed to be the last Romper Room host as "Miss Molly" from 1982-1994. She is grateful for the talent, love and support of the InterACT family and of course her husband Ray and the Barber Bunch.
Glen Guglia (Alex Martynetz)
Alex is once again thrilled to be back with the interACT family! Alex has previously been interACT's productions of Pippin (Lewis, '22), A funny thing..Forum (Protean '19), and You can't Take it with You (Tony Kirby '18), as well as ensemble roles in other productions. Alex began his life on the stage at the early age of 6 and his been involved in dancing, acting and singing performances ever since. When not on the stage Alex enjoys playing soccer, travelling and fixing electronics.
Linda (Lisa Benke)
Lisa Benke is THRILLED to perform again with interACT since last Spring's Pippin (Fastrada)! Recent credits include Plays in the Park’s A Chorus Line (Cassie), Villagers' Sweet Charity (Charity) and CDC’s Elf-The Musical (Emily Hobbs). Lisa is a classically trained ballerina, former “fintech” exec, entrepreneur, choreographer and proud momma of 3. Linda u/s, Glen's Secretary, Twinkies Lady, Featured Dancer (Tess Borsecnik)
Tess has previously performed with the Peterborough Players, Vanguard Theatre Company, First Flight Theatre Company, and Seton Hall Theatre among others but is delighted to be returning for her third show with interACT. She’d like to thank her parents, her boyfriend, and the ever delightful Brielle McArdle for all they do. To all the cast and crew, break a leg!
Angie Sullivan, Sideburns Lady, Ensemble (Megan Lako)
Megan is so excited to be doing her first show with interACT! It has been two years since she last performed and is so happy to be back on stage. Favorite shows include: Cinderella (Cinderella), Rumpelstiltskin (Daisy), Into the Woods (Cinderella) and Beauty and the Beast (Belle). She wants to thank this company for being so welcoming and making her return to performing such an enjoyable experience. She also wants to thank her family and friends, most importantly her Fiance Steve.
Mr. T Impersonator, Ensemble (Rod H. Belle)
This marks Rod's first time with interACT but this is 4x a charm peperforming Wedding Singer. Other credits include Snake in Phoenix Productions School Of Rock, Legally Blonde with Old Library Theater, West Side Story with Fantasy Theater (LI) A Chorus Line with Washington Square Players (NY) and other credits to numerous to mention. He is also an award winning filmmaker who is currently in production on his action Drama. He is branching out into Directing in Summer 2023. LOVE IS WHAT WE DO!
Ronald Reagan Impersonator, Priest, Donnie Jr., 4th Suit, Featured Dancer (Jason Benjamin)
Jason honed his Reagan impression after memorizing “Ronnie’s Rap,” by Ron and D.C. Crew in 1986. He is thrilled to be part of the wonderful cast of The Wedding Singer, especially since it includes his daughter, Louisa! Previously, Jason appeared in interACT’s production of 1984 and Suburban Legend’s En Garde.
Young Julia Sullivan, Jared Shapiro (Louisa Benjamin)
Louisa is ecstatic to make her interACT debut in The Wedding Singer. It’s her first time onstage with her father, Jason, since they danced together in The Nutcracker. Louisa is a fifth grader at Clinton Elementary in Maplewood and has acted in school productions and ballet performances since age three.
Crystal, Tina Turner Impersonator, Featured Dancer (Danielle "Dani" Bouie)
Danielle is so excited to be performing in her second production with interACT Theatre Productions! Her first show being Legally Blonde, she is so excited to be performing again after 4 years away from the stage. Her past credits include Legally Blonde the Musical (Tv Reporter/ Ensemble) and Children of Eden (Ensemble). She would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her dreams!
Donatella McDonnough, Salesclerk, Ensemble (Stefanie Carapezza)
Stefanie is elated by the opportunity to be a part of her first interACT production! She is a singer and songwriter pursuing her passion to perform theater and cabarets in the greater NYC metropolitan area. Thank you to the cast, crew and the interACT team for what's sure to be a fantastic show!
Mookie, Bad Haircut Guy, Ensemble (Steve Dodrv)
Steve Dodrv is excited to be a part of The Wedding Singer! While it’s his first show with interACT, he has worked with other theatre companies to music direct shows such as Guys and Dolls, and Mary Poppins, and performed in musicals such as Godspell, Pippin, and Fun Home. Additionally, he has performed on several tours and competitions throughout Europe and the US as a chorister and soloist. He would like to thank his friends, family, cat Freya, and fiancé Megan for their support.
Cyndi Lauper Impersonator, Ensemble (Hannah Gaston)
Hannah Gaston is delighted to be joining the cast of “The Wedding Singer.” She previously worked with interACT in "1984" as Jules and "House on Haunted Hill" as Rebecca Valifax/The Bride. Additional credits include "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" (Helena) and "The Crucible" (Mary Warren) with Glimmer Globe Theater. Outside of theater, Hannah is the Education Coordinator at Liberty Hall Museum. She would like to thank Nick and interACT for this opportunity and Roger for all his unwavering support.
Debbie Fonda, Featured Dancer (Molly Quinn Hefner)
Originally from North Carolina, Molly Quinn Hefner began dancing at the age of four, and has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and precision. Molly completed high school at the UNC School of the Arts, with a concentration in Contemporary Dance, and she is currently enrolled at Marymount Manhattan College in the dance program. In addition to performing on stage, she has appeared in a music video, walked in NYC fashion week, and shot a number of print and social media campaigns.

Featured Dancer (Elyse Lanterman)
Elyse is thrilled to be making her debut with interACT! She is originally from Springfield, Illinois and has participated in several productions there. Her favorite credits include Peter Pan, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Tarzan. Elyse is a senior at Seton Hall University and will be graduating in May. Special thanks to her family for their continued support, to the staff of The Wedding Singer for giving her this opportunity, and to her dog, Echo, for all the love!
Billy Idol Impersonator, Loser Guy, 5th Suit, Waiter 2, Featured Dancer (Ralph Nunez)
Ralph is thrilled to be doing a musical for the first time in a while. He’s been in productions such as West Side Story, In the Heights, and Bring it On. Never, though, has he gotten a chance to perform with the energetic music and style of the 80’s. He counts himself lucky to be among the talent here at interACT.
Tiffany, Nancy Reagan Impersonator, Ensemble (Janet Painter)
Janet is delighted to be on stage with interACT once again. As someone who was adulting in the 1980s, she is happy to explain to younger cast members the finer points of Reaganomics, the miracle of the Japanese business model and the importance of Big Hair!
Donnie, Bum, Ensemble (Whitney Pillsbury)
After taking 30+ years off for career and family, Whitney returned to the stage triumphantly in 2015 as the Dame in Maplewood’s annual Pantomime,“For years, Whitney brought his big hair, heels, and personality to this stage!” Whitney has also had memorable roles in interACT’s: The Full Monty & Big River, and Vanguard’s production of MEMPHIS. He also emceed Maplewood’s Pride Drag Shows, pre-pandemic. Whitney lives in South Orange with his understanding husband, John.
Junior Secretary, Waitress 2, Featured Dancer (Jaime Plitnick)
Jaime is super excited to be continuing her community theater journey! Having not been in a show since 2020 until just last year, she is so excited to be back at it. Specifically with this show, she feels she has struck gold with interACT Theater Productions. She’s so excited to have gotten to know such an awesome group of individuals both on and off the stage. She wishes everyone to BREAK LEGS and is SO PROUD OF EVERYONE! YAY WE DID IT!!!
Harold Fonda, 2nd Suit, Featured Dancer (Tokio Sasaki)
A native of Tokyo, a long-time New Yorker. He studied acting/theater at Hunter College and HB studio in New York City. His acting career spans roles in theaters, films, and commercials, ranging from Joan of Arc (“Chamber Music” directed by Austin Pendleton) to a psychopath (“The Boyfriend Experience,” a film directed by Matthew Doyle). However, certain musical tunes stay with him 24/7 drawing him to dancing to those tunes more than acting these days. He is super grateful for this opportunity.
Shane McDonnough, Ricky The Bartender, 3rd Suit, Waiter 1, Featured Dancer (Ryan Smith)
Ryan Smith is psyched to be making his interACT Theatre Productions debut with such a fly, fresh, and totally rad cast. This marks his second show since returning to the stage earlier this year as Jean-Michel in Cinderella (Wyckoff YArts). He graduated in 2020 from Ramapo College, where he earned his BA in Theatre for Acting. He’d like to thank his friends and family for their support, and for all those involved in the process of putting this show on the stage.

Erica is thrilled to be making her interACT debut in The Wedding Singer. Previous credits include Sweet Charity (Rosie/Fandango Dancer), Elf, The Musical (Dance Captain/Charlie), West Side Story (Anybodys), Anyone Can Whistle, Kiss Me, Kate, Legally Blonde, Tuck Everlasting, Les Misérables, Footloose, and Mame. Erica is honored to make her debut with interACT! Originally from Rockaway Beach, NY, Erica started her acting journey on stage as a lead dancer and featured vocalist at Pope John XXIII HS. Acting credits include The Crucible (Mrs. Putnam), Europides' Medea (Medea), Almost Maine (Gayle), Extremities (Marjorie), Slush (Snow White) & Inherit the Wind (Mrs. Brady).
