About Seussical the Musical

The Inly Players are thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Seussical the Musical, with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens—the Tony Award–winning team behind Ragtime, Once on This Island, and other beloved works that celebrate humanity, empathy, and justice.

Seussical joyfully weaves together characters and stories from more than fifteen of Seuss books. Some characters from different stories meet for the first time, some embark on daring adventures, and others discover love, friendship, and courage along the way. At its heart, Seussical is a story about helping a friend, keeping a promise, and believing in the value and dignity of every person—reminding us all that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

We recognize that conversations around the original author’s work and legacy are complex and important. Our choice to produce Seussical reflects not an endorsement of his views, but rather a celebration of the story’s enduring message of kindness, respect, imagination, and community.

This production is a perfect fit for Inly because it invites students, parents, and faculty to share the stage in a joyful, multigenerational experience—one filled with music, laughter, and heart. Together, we’ll create a world where everyone has a place, every voice matters, and the power of storytelling brings us closer.

Inly School

At Inly, we believe in the power of theatrical experiences to promote the essence of community and belonging and building lifelong presentation and collaboration skills. Founded in 2007, The Inly Players productions encourage participants to explore and deepen these goals through a semi-professional experience where professionals, students and non-professionals come together to produce a high-quality performance and learning experience for all.

The production is open to the public and showcases the strong arts program at Inly. The troupe is open to Inly students in grades three and older, as well as faculty, staff, parents, trustees, others with a deep connection to the school and Inly alumni.
