Legally Blonde Cast

Angelo Tadeo is a sophomore here at IHS. This is his first production at IHS. When not at IHS Angelo enjoys singing, playing instruments, playing games, and drawing. Angelo would like to thank everyone who helped support him throughout this production, especially Shayla Williams and Ezri Reyes, who motivated him the most.

Anika Jaishankar is a 9th grader here at IHS. This is her 1st production here, but she was in a musical in 4th grade. When not at IHS, Anika enjoys art projects and crafts, playing piano and guitar, and most of all, dancing. Anika would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her.

Annie Nguyen is a junior at IHS and a proud member of the 76th Cavalry Marching Band & Color Guard. Previous shows include: Discord 2016, Ripple of Hope 2017, Elements 2017, and Enchanted Forest 2018. This is her first production in theater. When not practicing for guard, dance, being co-class president, and sleeping, she enjoys making art and being with family. Thanks to: my mom, Tiffany, Andy, and Chi Vi; and shout out to my homies: Annie VU, Justin, Caithlin, Kathreen,Steven, and Lana for always supporting me!

Caitlyn Richardson is a 9th grader here at IHS. This is her 2nd production at IHS. Previous shows include: a “Plase Say Yes!” one act production of “Prom Ninja.” When not at IHS, Caitlyn enjoys eating and sleeping. Caitlyn would like to thank Mrs. Edwards for giving her the opportunity to perform in multiple shows, and her dog, Princess, for being a good girl.

Celeste Mazucci is thrilled to return to Independence High School’s stage in Legally Blonde! She plays the sales girl in the first song, and a Harvard student for the rest of the show. She also portrayed Angelo and a circus performer in the fall play ‘Comedy of Errors,’ and multiple ensemble roles in a summer production of ‘Madagascar Junior.’ She also plays the violin in the school orchestra, enjoys listening to musicals, and making strange jokes with her friends. Eric Dang is a 10th grader here at IHS. This is his 1st production at IHS. Previous show(s) include: Winners and Losers at Sheppard Middle School. When not at IHS, Eric enjoys procrastinating, eating, dropping dumps, sleeping, and repeating the cycle. He would like to thank his family, friends, and cast members for supporting him and making this year's hell a little less hellish. "Love ya guys!

For the last show of his high school career, Ezri Reyes is proud to play his first lead in a musical. Previously the ecstatic goofball Dromio in "Comedy of Errors" and troubledslacker Jesse in "Of Choice or Chance", he hopes to impress you with something different: His lovable good boy attitude as Emmett Forest (because anyone who knows Ezri won't be fooled by his straight acting nonsense.)

Megan Taylor is a senior at Independence High School and is most known around school as shy. From her ensemble roles with CMTSJ to her first major roles, Miss Sandra in All Shook Up (2016) and Gabriella Montez in High School Musical (2017) at IHS, theatre has helped her break through her shell. She thanks her friends and family for supporting her in her passion for performing.

Glyanne Feryz Arcena is a sophomore here at IHS. This is her 4th production here at IHS. Her prior roles include: The Runner in Scrooge, the evil Sherri Ryan in Winners and Losers, the tragic little girl Betty Parris in The Crucible, the operatic and energetic Cynthia in High School Musical, and the adorable magician Balthazar in Comedy of Errors. When not acting like a cute girl onstage, Glyanne enjoys writing short stories, playing Splatoon 2, playing the piano, singing songs from musicals other than Legally Blonde, and binge reading Atlas Obscura. She would like to thank her mom for supporting her, her grandfather for driving her, her whole family for tolerating her singing too loud in the house, and the Legally Blonde cast for being there for her.

Jasmine Vallarta is a junior here at IHS. This is her second production at IHS. Previous shows include: Annie Jr.: Ms. Hannigan, All Shook Up: Mayor Matilda, RENT, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. When not at IHS, Jasmine enjoys being with friends and family, singing, playing sports and musical instruments, and eating!!! Jasmine would like to thank her family, friends, and loved ones for their neverending support!

Julian is a junior here at IHS and is currently taking on his 3rd production at this school. You may recognize him as his previous roles which include the eccentric Jack Scott, a.k.a. "Velvet Fog", in High School Musical and the violin yielding Officer in Comedy of Errors. Despite his general shyness and introversion, he has an undenying ebullience for performing on stage. Outside of being class historian and taking part in the school's orchestra, he enjoys playing the violin, voice acting/dubbing, writing, photography, and bonding. He would like to thank his family, friends, and peers for their support and encouragement.

Kelly Nguyen is a freshman (9) at independence. This is her 1st production IHS. She is a delta nu. When not at ihs kelly Nguyen dances or watches Netflix. I would like to thank Nina for helping me learn the choreography and helping my all of us.

Lucas Gafford is a freshman at Independence High School and this is his first production here. When not at school, Lucas enjoys playing video games, watching anime, playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, and hanging out with his friends. Lucas would like to thank all the people who support and encourage him especially Alan Ton, Lisarose Balulua, Alyssa Torres, and Ashley Tan.

Nina Tran is a junior here at IHS. This is her 3rd production at IHS. Previous shows include: The Crucible, as an understudy for Tituba, and Cheerleader #92 in High School Musical. When not at IHS, Nina enjoys sleeping, napping, and that's it. Nina would like to thank her mama and papa, best friends who support and love her (not Victoria), and her boyfriend, Kim Taehyung. Also she really likes chicken nuggets.

Ryan Macias is 9th grader here at IHS. This is his first production at IHS. Previous shows and roles include: Fiddler on the roof: Mordcha, Willy Wonka: Mr. Salt, Peter Pan: Captain Hook, Alice in Wonderland: March Hare, and many more!!! When not at IHS Ryan enjoys spending time with family, singing for his church, listening to music, going to the park and taking walks, and of course eating FOOD!!!! Ryan would like to thank his friends and family for encouraging him to go above and beyond on what he wants to achieve, especially his mom, she’s his hero!!!!

Zoe Barrow is a outgoing-yet antisocial-freshmen here at IHS. This is her 2nd performance and was in November's The Comedy Of Errors. When she is not at rehearsal you can see her working in the lunch lines during breaks or drawing on her phone. She'd love to thank her family who have let her continue doing drama even though her grades were rollercoastering between Cs and Ds (thank you birth contributer & wifey) and her wonderful director/teacher for giving her much needed support.

Jennifer Nguyen is a junior here at IHS, and this is her very first production at IHS! Outside of IHS, Jennifer is known to be involved in community service, such as Key Club . You can see her around campus with a camera since one of her hobbies is photography. Furthermore, she would like to give a huge thanks to Julian Labucay for inspiring her to join her first production, Legally Blonde.

Cynthia Lee is a senior here at IHS. This is her first production at IHS. When not at IHS, Cynthia enjoys eating vanilla cupcake-flavored goldfish, hanging out with family and friends, and sleeping. She would like to thank all her friends for being so supportive <3. (By the way, hi Mr. Kirk! How did you know that my BFF and I were movie stars?)

Ariel Medina is a 10th grader here at IHS. This is her 1st production at IHS. She hasn’t been in any other productions and this is her first! When not at IHS Ariel enjoys long walks to get boba, vine compilations, playing music, and sleeping. Ariel would like to thank everyone who gave her the confidence to go out of her comfort zone and her family for supporting her passion in performing arts.

Leya Abella is a freshman here at IHS. This is her first production at IHS. When not at school, Leya enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends and family. Leya would like to thank her mom, sister and friends for helping and supporting her for being in the musical.

Ashley Tan is a freshman here at IHS. This is her 1st production at IHS. When not at IHS, Ashley enjoys reading online, singing, and dancing. She would like to thank her friends who encouraged her to try out for the production.

Ozzalyn Hall is a freshman in her first year of IHS theatre program. She has participated in the Comedy of Errors play that was performed in the fall of 2017. She loves theatre and everything that comes with it, participating in shows since she was in first grade. She is also a member of the International Thespian Society.

Maybel is a junior at IHS and a member of the 76th cavalry marching band. Her previous shows include Dischord (2016) and Elements (2017), but this is her first theatre production. When not at IHS, Maybel enjoys drawing, sleeping, and singing along to musical soundtracks. She would like to thank her siblings Monica and Myron for their love, support, and schedule flexibility, as well as all her friends and family for the encouragement.

Cathy Nguyen is a freshma (9th) here at IHS. This is her first production at IHS. She plays one of the Delta Nus sisters. When not at IHS enjoys playing with her Pomeranian dog named Udon and listening to music. Cathy is part of Interact Club, a community services, and friendship bonds. Her hobbies include baking and dancing. Cathy Nguyen would like to thank her friends Kelly, Leya, Caitlyn, and Chelsea for being supportive of her. She would want to thank you Serena (Alyssa) for her sense of humor and smile every day when she sees her.

Lisarose Balualua is a junior here at IHS. This is her first production at IHS. Previous shows include: Dog Catcher/Ensemble in Annie at Piedmont Middle School. When not at IHS Lisa enjoys singing, dancing, drawing, painting and sculpting. Lisa would like to thank Andrew Whitney, Julian Labucay, her family, her friends and Ms. Edwards.

Chelsea Rufo is a 9th grader here at IHS. This is her 1st production at IHS. When not at IHS, Chelsea enjoys sleeping, baking, and listening to music. Chelsea would like to thank her family and friends.

Jenna Dominguez is a freshman here at IHS. This is her first production at IHS. Previous shows include: Roberta in Captain Louie Jr., Vidia in Peter Pan Jr., and a few more musical productions thru the VAPA program at Linda Vista. When not at IHS Jenna enjoys singing, playing the clarinet, vlogging on YouTube, and dancing at The Joy of Dancing. She would like to thank her parents for getting to where she is today.

Jenny Pham, eighty-five years old, is a senior at IHS. When not at IHS, she enjoys painting; although, her art will make you want to cry. She also likes cooking, gardening, and knitting. She loves dogs! She would like to thank her family, BFF (Cynthia), and her cat, Simba. "Simba, you're an amazing cat, but don't copy that other dude and go running off in to the jungle singing Hakuna Matata!"

Patrick Fu is a senior at IHS. This is his fifth production at Independence, portraying various people in the Laramie Project (2014), the leader of the men's chorus in Lysistrata (2015), Jim Haller in All Shook Up (2016), and Zeke Baylor in High School Musical (2017). He enjoys cooking, history, debates about movies, petting animals, and believes that french fries should be prescribed to people as a cure for anxiety. Patrick would like to give a warm thank you to his parents for supporting his dreams, his bed for giving him comfort, and his fellow cast members for giving him warm friends and pleasant memories.

Raymond Dinh is a Junior here at Independence High School. This is his second production at IHS. His first performance was last year’s: High School Musical. Outside of school, Raymond does wrestling, makes memes, does magic and eats an abundant amount of food. He is also the upcoming 2019 Class President.

Kiku is a dog here at IHS. This is her 1st production at IHS. When not at IHS, Kiku enjoys eating lots of food, sleeping and going on walks. Kiku would like to thank Ms. Edwards, my family, my friends and my dog handler, Lisarose Balualua.
