Follow the yellow brick road to The Play Place this winter break for Emerald City, Oz!, a magical holiday workshop inspired by the beloved songs and characters from The Wizard of Oz and Wicked! Designed especially for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, this exciting week combines singing, dancing, acting, and creative play—all leading up to a live performance for family and friends!

Young performers will explore the wonders of Oz through music, movement, and imagination, while also enjoying tons of fun and games on The Play Place’s incredible indoor play structures and other festive activities.

It’s the perfect blend of performing arts and pure fun, created by Impact Performing Arts and The Play Place, Wilton CT—where every child can discover their courage, heart, and imagination!

The Premiere Youth Theatre Experience Comes to Wilton, CT!

Impact Performing Arts is proud to partner with The Play Place Wilton, a 12,000-square-foot indoor recreation and learning facility designed to inspire creativity, movement, and joy in children ages 1–10. Located at 644 Danbury Road, Wilton, The Play Place features an expansive indoor turf field, an adventure playground with a mini zip line, scramble nets, tunnels, balance beams, monkey rings, and a mini basketball hoop — plus an OBIE interactive gaming system that brings the space to life with light and motion.

Through this collaboration, Impact Performing Arts will introduce professional-level performing arts programming to one of Fairfield County’s most dynamic family destinations. Children will explore acting, singing, and dancing while developing confidence, teamwork, and imagination — all within a fun, active, and nurturing environment.

Founded by John J. Fanelli, a theatre educator and producer with over 30 years of proven excellence, Impact Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives through the performing arts — “one show at a time.”

Together, Impact and The Play Place are creating a unique experience where play meets performance — a place where children can run, laugh, create, and shine under one roof. By blending the energy of play with the discipline and joy of theatre, this partnership is building confidence, creativity, and community — setting the stage for young dreamers to take their first steps into the spotlight.
