The Trail To Oregon! Cast
John Toth (Father)This is John Toth’s second time in an IHTSBP. You may have seen him last year as Brad Majors and you’ve possibly seen him in other shows such as The 39 Steps, August: Osage County, or Noises Off when he was asked to grow his hair out and he hated it. John is excited to help bring this production to life with all of his friends. He’d like to thank the cast, crew, friends, and family for all of their unwavering support and love. Thank you for making the journey with us!
Angelina Crawford (Mother)Angie is thrilled to be part of I Hate This Stupid Bike's Productions cast of Trail to Oregon!! This will be her first show with IHTSBP, she recently has been in Joliet Drama Guilds productions of Heathers (Featured dancer/stoner), A Christmas Carol (Belle/Undertaker), and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 (Nikki Crandall). She has also been in Joliet West High School's production of Steel Magnolias (M’Lynn Eatenton). She thinks it’s funny that this will be the second time she’s playing a southern mother who is perpetually annoyed with her husband… Is this a type cast? Do I give off angry mother vibes? Don’t answer that. Angie (and the rest of the cast) would love it if you gave all your energy during the show– PLEASE don’t be afraid to laugh, it truly makes it that much better!! Enjoy the show!!
Sage Ryan (Son)Sage Ryan is a 23 year old creative person hailing from northwest Ohio. In the past, Sage has played Mrs. Gottlieb in Dead mans cellphone as well as playing the blue phantom in a version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sage has been dancing for 17 years and acting for 2 now. Sage is happy to announce that they are playing the role of The Son in the show as well as being the choreographer. Sage specializes in ballet and a variety of other dance styles and enjoyed the jazzy funky choreography of the show. They are thrilled to be part of such a fun group of talented actors.
Nat Merriman (Daughter)Nat is ecstatic to be playing the Daughter in Trail to Oregon! She just graduated from Eastern Michigan with a degree in Theatre and Speech Education and a minor in English, and hopes to be teaching somewhere in the fall (no bites yet as she was writing this). Besides that Nat loves working at the Toledo Zoo and talking about it at any and all opportunities (we haven’t figured out how to get her to stop). Most importantly, Nat is a Sagittarius sun, Capricorn moon, and a Gemini rising; she enjoys drinking wine and watching Legally Blonde the Musical on stressful nights, and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Esteban Vega (Grandpa)Esteban is once again diving into another musical role, previously portraying the Narrator of The Rocky Horror show. In the past Esteban has primarily performed at Owens Community College with such shows as The Real Inspector Hound, Yellow Boat, Romeo and Juliet, Tartuffe, varying in contemporary, Shakespeare and experimental. Esteban currently works as a Box Office Assistant at the Valentine Theater in downtown Toledo, he also participates in the Dinner Detective at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Toledo. Esteban would like to give a shoutout to his cast and crew of talented individuals, as well as castmates and crews of past shows.
