Ariana Kirk

Ariana Kirk is very excited to return to theatre as director & actor for The Rocky Horror Show! She’s always had a passion for theatre and was thrilled to be given the honor of her first time directing for IHTSBP. Aside from theatre, she enjoys playing D&D, reading, and board game nights with her friends and family. Ariana has been in many productions, including Legally Blonde as Vivienne, Peter Pan as Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland as Rose, and Rocky Horror as Magenta. She’s incredibly proud of the cast and crew of this production and can’t wait to “see you shiver with antici…pation!”

Jacobi Edge

Jacobi Edge is a student studying screenwriting and visual arts art Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He has been in numerous productions with other local theater troupes but it thrilled to be working with this up and coming one. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he enjoys working with these folks.

Choreographer

Alyx Fisher

Hey gang, it's Alyx Fisher playing Columbia and choreographing the show. Alyx has been in several shows in the past few years including Rocky Horror and the Spitfire Grill with Black Swamp Players and The Real Inspector Hound at Owens Community College. She also has choreographed several children's shows for Sylvania Arts. Very excited to be doing this show with her friends!

Director's Note

Ever since 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has given life to theater companies around the globe. However, the traditions that followed this show didn’t kick off until 1976 in New York, where folks could dress up, dance to the Time Warp, and say their favorite callback lines. This show became more than a cult classic, it represented so much more.

This show reminded us that it was okay to be different in more ways than one. We could find acceptance as a community, whether it was through queer identity or being an outcast, this show brought many people together. We learn that we can come as we are without that fear of judgment. Sometimes we want a couple of hours to forget the world's tragedies and not be afraid to be who we are. Many of us use this show as our escape and it’s important to keep these groups (and these shows) alive. Representation can help us feel like we belong and we are not alone in these experiences.

Whatever the reason that brings you here today, you can be here knowing that you belong, knowing that you’re in a safe space and you don’t have to be afraid to be you. We all have our reasons why we identify and love this show, and I’m so glad to welcome you.

I can’t thank this cast and crew enough for all of the hard work, laughter, and happy memories they put into this show. The sheer talent these people bring makes it all worthwhile and they deserve all the recognition they can get. Lifelong memories were made here and I’m happy to be a part of that.
