When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

We are the Hopewell Headliners, the Theatre Department of Hopewell High School. We are made up of students enrolled in the Theatre program at Hopewell, as well as participants in our after school program. We offer a comprehensive theatre experience open to all students at Hopewell, with emphasis on both performance and technical theatre. We are an organization supported by The Hopewell Theatre Boosters, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to supporting the theatre department at Hopewell High School. We produce 3 main stage shows a year, as well as 4 end-of-year productions for class, and support our feeder school musicals in the spring. The Hopewell Headliners are proud members of the North Carolina Theatre Conference, the International Thespian Society, and participate annually in the Blumey Awards presented by Wells Fargo.
