Chet Murray
Chet Murray is a bassist/piano player/vocalist/guitarist He has been inducted into both the South Dakota Rock and Roll Music Hall of Fame, and the Legends of Dakota Country Music Hall of fame, both in 2017. A musical fixture in the Black Hills and Deadwood since 1987, he has performed with many popular Black Hills music groups, including the Black Hills Cowboy Christmas. Chet has also performed on multiple recording sessions for various regional artists. Chet is known for his vocal range, his reliability, and his versatility. He has been part of the back-up group for several Nashville recording artists. He studied music at Northern State College studying trumpet and voice. His roots in music go back over 40 years when he started playing rhythm guitar with The Ribbonaires, a group that his dad Chet Murray Sr. was a member of when they lived in Faith SD. Chet has played with rock bands, variety bands and blues bands, but his heart is in real country music. Chet was a member of the well-known Wilt Brothers Band based out of Rapid City SD. He is currently establishing himself as a solo performer, does freelance music work, and is bassist for Les Singes Volants, a wonderful gypsy jazz acoustic group. Chet resides in Rapid City SD, located in Western South Dakota, at the foothills of the Black Hills.

Connie Hubbard
Connie Hubbard has played piano since age three when her mom couldn’t keep her off the keys and started her in lessons. She has accompanied shows, university and high school music students and choirs for decades. She has also acted, directed, and played in numerous theater productions and concerts in the Black Hills. Hubbard teaches German language to high school students online, and to university students at BHSU and SDSM&T. After her BA and MA in German and English, she finally finished her music degree at BHSU in 2006. Hubbard lives in Spearfish, has two grown adventuresome kids and an awesome husband, Todd. Travel is another of Connie’s passions, and her bag is always packed for the next adventure. She is so happy and to have the opportunity to collaborate and get to know this talented group!

Shawn Parker
Shawn Parker has been playing music in the Black Hills for over two decades in jazz, rock, funk and even a little bluegrass. Shawn is a graduate of The University of South Dakota and currently plays with local rock band Tie Dye Volcano although he can pop up in other groups wherever the music is needed!
