Crystal Free (Olive Madison)Crystal is the theatre and chorus teacher/director at Columbia High School. She’s been acting for 40 years in high school, college, church, and community theatre plays, as well as background acting in film. Her favorite roles were Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Miss Hannigan in Annie, and a zombie on The Walking Dead. In addition to acting, she likes singing with the local band, Late 4 Class, and hanging out with her husband and 2 kids. She loves her HSP family and hopes you enjoy the Female Version of The Odd Couple.
Angelica Miller (Florence Unger)Angelica has been involved in theater for over 30 years. Filling many roles such as actor, director and stage manager, she is thrilled to be playing Florence Unger in High Springs Playhouse’s production of “The Odd Couple” (the female version). Recently, Angelica has been seen on stage in productions such as “Murder on the Orient Express” (Countess), “Dial M for Murder” (Margot), and “Matilda” (Miss Honey). She would like to thank her husband for having dinner ready after rehearsals, and Mychelle for casting her in such a wonderful show!
Dusty Barlow (Mickey)Dusty has been involved in theatre since high school, where her love for the stage began. She went on to teach theatre at Fort White High School and served as an acting coach for the theatre department at Columbia High School (CHS). Currently, Dusty teaches Senior English at CHS, where she continues to inspire creativity in her students.
This is Dusty's first appearance at HSP, but she has most recently been seen in The Crucuble (Ann Putnam) at Florida Gateway College.Dusty is thrilled to share this experience with the cast, crew, and audience!
Kelly Belanger (Sylvie)Kelly is delighted to portray Sylvie in The Odd Couple (Female Version). This marks her fourth production at the High Springs Playhouse, where she was most recently seen as Thelma/Scrooge in The Farndale… Christmas Carol. Kelly extends her heartfelt thanks to her parents, sister, amazing kids, and supportive boyfriend for their constant love and encouragement. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Victoria Gregory (Renee)Victoria is thrilled to be in her first show at High Springs Playhouse! She's been previously seen in local short films, modeling campaigns, on stage and front of house at Gainesville Community Playhouse, Acrosstown Repertory Theatre; most recently appearing as Mary in "It Can't Happen Here" with Actors Warehouse. When not on-stage, she's working at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers serving the community. She would like to thank Mychelle, cast, and crew for their warm welcome and kindness during this production, and also to LoveBunny, her parents, and Lola for their endless encouragement and support. Lucy Stein (Vera)Lucy has been working with the High Springs Playhouse for several years. You may have seen her as Felicity in the Playhouse's production of The Farndale Avenue...Production of: A Christmas Carol. She also directed Murder on the Orient Express this past April. She wants to thank everyone at High Springs Playhouse for all the opportunities they have given her these past few years. Lucy is so excited to perform on the stage for you; she has wanted to be involved in a production of The Odd Couple since she first heard about it. Lucy hopes all of you enjoy the show!
Chuck Lipsig (Manolo Costazuela)Two years ago, at High Springs Playhouse, Chuck took on a Russian accent to play Boris Kolenkhov in You Can’t Take It With You. Last year it was a French accent to play Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express. This year it’s a Spanish accent to play Manolo. 2024 was a very intense year, theater-wise for Chuck, as, besides Murder, he performed in his first musical as Simeon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Gainesville Community Playhouse and saw a pair of readings of his own play, Stand By To Assist, at the Waterworks festival in Charlottesville, VA. He’s looking to see where 2025 goes.
Tyson Adams (Jesus Costazuela)Tyson is estoy muy emocionado - or rather, very excited to be part of this terrific production. He has been part of several shows here at HSP, including The Fantasticks, Lost in Yonkers, The Boys Next Door, and Sorry Wrong Chimney to name a few. Tyson sings in a barbershop quartet with the Gainesville Barbergators also! He hopes this show is as much fun for you as it is for him to be part of the cast!
