About The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza

Two battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using general theatrical insanity. Creation myths such as Pandora's Box and Cronos and the Titans jostle for space with other famous myths like Jason and the Argonauts (the original Super Friends). Culminating in a heart-pounding, five-minute, two-actor version of The Iliad, this fast-paced, free-wheeling play is wild, silly, and a complete blast for all ages.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE:

I was at a loss for what shows to pick this year. Then I happened to run in to an HMS alumni who said that The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza was his most favorite time in middle school. GMO was the first full length show that was performed after the new auditorium was built and my first year here at HMS. For Heritage's 25th anniversary, I decided to bring this show back. The kids were excited because they had just read it last year in theater classes and loved it. This show is the largest cast/crew that we have ever had, totaling 65 students. (THAT'S A LOT OF TOGAS!)

We hope that you relax, laugh and have a great time with The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza!

DIRECTOR'S THANKS: Dr. Dana Finch, Randy Stolle, Dr. Hollandsworth, Sharon Barraco, Raymond Meza, Michelle Strong, Monica Granadillo, Aryssa Smith, Wendy Miller, our amazing staff and faculty, all of the parents that offered action figures, cardboard, and every other weird prop that is in this show, the PTO who is always so supportive and the students that worked so hard to put this together.
