Matilda Jr. Cast

Elena Kranish is a 6th grader who plays Matilda. She plays volleyball and has been in the play Annie. She thanks Ms. Winters for all she has done and the experience that she gave her.

Nia is a 7th grader and plays Eric in the Little Kid ensemble. She is involved in her school's choir, VOX, art, and has done theater since she was 4. She has been in all of the HMS shows since she started middle school and has done The Wizard of Oz (twice), and Beauty & The Beast outside of school. She wants to thank her first vocal teacher Brian Best. She wouldn't be able to sing the way she does without him. She would also like to thank Mr.Meza, Mrs.Benton, and Ms.Winters for helping her grow through middle school. Nia would also thank her family and friends for always pushing her to do her best.

Hayden is a 7th grader at HMS and is playing the role of Tommy in the Little Kid's Ensemble. He was in Little Mermaid last year and Game of Tiaras in the fall. He would like to thank his family and Ms. Winters for their support.

Emery Meade is in 7th grade and is playing the role of Amanda Thripp. Other than performing in theater and musical arts, Emery loves soccer, traveling, laughing with friends and family, and anything adventurous! Last year, she was in the musical The Little Mermaid. She would like to thank many people including the directors of the show Ms. Winters and Mr. Meza, all the cast and crew members, and her friends and family for their support, encouragement, and giving her confidence!

Sam Maynord is in the 8th grade and plays Bruce. He enjoys WWE, singing and sports. He is on the football team and is in VOX. This is his 3rd musical after performing in Little Mermaid and Fame. He would like to thank his mom, dad, and Ms. Winters for believing in him. He would also like to thank Mia and Haley for their choreography.

Meredith Hollins is in the 7th grade and is thrilled to be playing the role of Lavender in Matilda this year! When she is not on the stage, she is on the volleyball court. She plays volleyball for HMS and Alliance Volleyball Club. She enjoys singing with both the HMS Choir and Vox. She participated in a community theater production of Annie in elementary school, and she had the honor of playing Ariel as her debut role at HMS in their production of The Little Mermaid last school year. She would like to thank Mrs. Winters and Mr. Meza for putting together an amazing production and for casting her in the musical again. She would also like to thank her friends and family for their love and support.

Riley Barrett is in the 8th grade and plays the roles of Alice in the Little Kid ensemble and Lavender's understudy. Riley also has interests in cheer-leading, singing, playing piano, writing songs, and many other things. She has participated in productions including the Game of Tiaras, The Jungle Book, Scheherazade's 1,000 Tales, and many more. Riley would like to thank Ms. Winters, Mr. Meza, her parents, all of her best friends, and her cousin for always supporting and believing in her even when times were tough.

Maclaine is a 6th grader at HMS and is playing the role of Hortensia in the Little Kid's Ensemble. She would like to thank her family and Ms. Winters for supporting her.

Leo Child is in the 6th grade and plays the role of Nigel. He has been in Game of Tiaras, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book, to name a few. Leo would like to thank Out of The Box Children's Theater for getting him on the road he is on today, Ms. Winters, Thomas Jefferson, and his very supportive family.

Grace Chatterton is in 6th grade and in the Little Kids Ensemble. She is in the school choir and student council. She was also on the school dance team earlier in the year. She was in Game of Tiaras, 101 Dalmatians, Zombies 2, and other shows. She would like to thank her family for supporting her throughout all of the shows she has been in.

Brea Patton is in 6th grade and plays in the Little Kid ensemble. She also likes to play tennis and lacrosse. This is her very first school musical. She would like to thank her mom for supporting her.

Alexya Miller is in the 6th grade and plays a Little Kid in the ensemble. She is also a competitive gymnast.

Harry Illingworth is an 8th grade student and plays Mr.Wormwood. Harry is involved in the HMS Band and enjoys making and playing music. Harry has been in a lot of shows but his favorites were Fame Jr, Little Mermaid Jr, and Game of Tiaras. He would like to thank Ms. Winters and Mr. Mesa for letting him be in this and helping him along his journey.

Peyton is an 8th grader and plays the role of Mrs.Wormwood. She does nothing but theater, but still counts it as her sport. A few of the shows she has participated in are The Little Mermaid Jr., Willy Wonka Kids, and Newsies Jr. She would like to thank her very supportive family for being there for her through her life and theater journey. She would especially like to thank her parents who she is very grateful for.

Matthew is in the 6th grade and is playing the role of Michael. He was in the fall production of Game Of Tiaras and has also been in a Marry Poppins. He is involved with Out Of The Box Theater and likes to hang out with his friends and play with his two dogs. He would like to thank the AMAZING Leo Child (Nigel) for really pushing him to get into theater.

Aubrey Griffith is in the 7th grade and playing the role of Ms. Phelps. She enjoys drawing, theater, writing , and collecting mini plastic babies. She played the role of Dwarf One in The Game of Tiaras . She would like to thank her friends, family and cats.

Maycie Allen is in the 8th grade and is playing the role of Miss Honey. She has performed in many different shows: Winnie the Pooh, Frog and Toad, and Game of Tiaras. She would like to thank her sister for all of her great tips, as well as Mrs. Winters and Mr. Meza for being rock stars.

Taylor Whitaker is in the 8th grade and plays the role Trunchbull. Some of Taylor's interests are acting, singing, and baking. Taylor has never been in a show before and she is enjoying this experience. She is looking forward to being in more shows in the future. Taylor would like to thank her friends for encouraging her to audition for the role.

Carson Miller is in the 8th grade and is playing the Escapologist and is also a Big Kid in the ensemble. He is really good at hitting pins with bowling balls and forgetting to finish his ELA essay due 3 days ago. He was Mr. Mayor in Seussical Jr. and Prince Charming in Game of Tiaras. He would like to thank Ms. Winters for teaching him actual fashion that doesn't involve sweatshirts and sweatpants.

Corinne is an 8th grader and plays the Acrobat as well as a Big Kid in the ensemble. Corinne is in choir and enjoys swimming. She has been in shows like Little Mermaid Jr and Game of Tiaras. Corinne would like to thank Ms.Winters and Mr.Meza for guiding her through the arts as well as helping her prepare for high school. She would also like to thank her family for their support and constant rides to rehearsals.

Ashlyn Oliver is in the 7th grade and plays the role of Cook and Sergei's Russian. She has not performed in any other shows but she plays softball in her free time and is on the school team. She doesn't know who to thank but herself for auditioning and just praying.

Charli Clampet-Yancey is in 7th grade and is playing the role of Rudolpho and the Mechanic.This is Charli’s first performing role. She was in the crew for The Little Mermaid.Charli would like to thank her director for putting so much effort into this show and helping the cast along as well as her parents for always being with her.

Damien is in 7th grade and plays the role of Sergei. Outside of theater, Damien likes to sing and write stories with their friends. They have also been in the school play Game of Tiaras, which will forever be their favorite since it was their first time on stage acting in front of an audience. Damien thanks Ms. Winters for the part she has given them and would also like to thank their mum for actually letting them audition in general.

Finley MacNicoll is in the 8th grade and she plays in the Big Kid ensemble. She is also a cheerleader and a dancer. Finley has been in many shows such as Sound of Music and Game of Tiaras. She would like to thank her family for always believing in her dreams and the directors for developing her love of theater.

Riley Hesson is in 6th Grade and is a Big Kid in the ensemble. Riley does horseback riding and she loves to do art. Matilda is her first show and this has been one of her favorite experiences. She would like to thank Mr. Meza and Ms. Winters for being so kind and beyond amazing teachers.

Zoey Askew is in the 8th grade and is in the Big Kid Ensemble. In her spare time, she sews and is interested in art projects. She has been in The Little Mermaid Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, The Chocolate Factory Jr, and The Game of Tiaras. She would like to thank Ms. Winters for directing this show.

Lyra is in the 8th grade and loves to perform. She has been performing since she was 6 at the Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy. She has been in The Little Mermaid Jr. and Game of Tiaras here at Heritage. Outside of performing, she loves to play the game Splatoon and likes to draw. She would like to thank her friends for keeping her going and her parents.

Lily Zink is in the 8th grade and plays in the Big Kid ensemble. Some of her interests include making artwork, playing piano, and reading while listening to music. This is her first time in a musical, and so far it has been really fun and helped her confidence. Lily would like to thank her mom for giving her the determination to try out and get involved.

Mia is in the 8th grade and plays a Big Kid in the ensemble. She also choreographed the dances in this musical, alongside Haley, and was the Assistant Director as well. Mia has not been in theater for a very long time, but she has done dance since she was three years old. Mia started choir in seventh grade. Mia has been in two other plays: The Little Mermaid and Game Of Tiaras. Mia wants to thank her family because they have always been her biggest supporters no matter what. She would also like to thank Ms. Winters for giving her a chance and helping her grow into the person she is now.

Pressley Robb is in 7th grade and plays a Big Kid in the ensemble. She is involved in choir, volleyball, and loves theater. Her interests include dancing, singing, and sports. This is her first show and she would like to thank Ms. Winters and everyone in the cast because "All of them are so supportive and make me a better actor."

Zahonnie Cashwell is a 7th grader and is in the Big Kid ensemble . She is also involved in the school choir and she dances at her dance studio. This is her first show at Heritage Middle and she loves it so much. She would like to thank her choir teacher Mr.Meza, her theater teacher Ms. Winters. She would also like to thank her family and friends for supporting her.

Bradley Paige is an 8th grader and is playing a Big Kid in the ensemble. This is her first show and it has been a great experience for her! Bradley Paige would like to thank her mom and dad for supporting her as well as thank her directors for the opportunity and experience.

Katy Harmon is an 8th grader and plays in the ensemble as a Big Kid. Katy was in Little Mermaid Jr and the fall show Game of Tiaras. She has had an amazing experience and loves all of the cast and crew. Katy has been dancing since she was 4. Katy would like to thank Ms. Winters, Mr. Meza, and her friends for always supporting her in what she does.
