Fiddler on the Roof Cast

Ensemble (Madi Anderson)
Madi is a sophomore at GMHS. She participated in the 2022 Play in a Day, Goodness Gracious, and had so much fun she agreed to join the cast of Fiddler on the Roof. In her words, this experience has been chaotic but also one of the most fun things she's ever done. Madi finds the cast, production staff, and overall environment amazing. She wants to thank her friends, her family, our production staff, and all cast members. Madi gives a special shout out to her best friend, Olivia, for pushing her to get outside of her comfort zone; without her, she wouldn't have been exposed to theatrical experiences.
Motel (Kayla Bandy)
Kayla is a junior at GMHS. She has previously performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in The Monologue Show (from Hell), Les Examables, Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol. Kayla has this to say about Fiddler on the Roof: "It's been wonderful!! Actually being able to produce such a well-known and loved musical this year has been a fantastic experience. :) I've found that despite the challenges and high-stress situations of such a large production, I've been having a great time, and I can't wait to show it to the world!" Outside of theatre, Kayla also enjoys drawing, writing stories, playing D&D, and researching true crime and internet mysteries. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her throughout her endeavors, the cast for always looking out for each other, the crew for doing so much for the production, and, of course, Mrs. McLaughlin for the opportunity of playing a role like this and everything else she's done for the troupe!
Shprintze (Winnie Bosecker)
Winnie is a junior at GMHS. Her stage credits with the Cruiser Theatre Company include Nooses Off!, The Monologue Show (from Hell), Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol, Les Examables, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, and Persephone Underground. Winnie says that Fiddler on the Roof has been a lot of fun! It's the first musical the troupe has put on since 2019, and she is glad to be a part of it. She would like to thank Mrs. Mclaughlin, Mrs. Winters, and Mrs. Himes for putting up with the cast and pushing them to make it a great show!
Yente (Logan Boyer)
Logan is a junior at GMHS. She has previously appeared onstage with the Cruiser Theatre Company in The Monologue Show (from Hell), Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. She was also the student director for Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol. Logan says Fiddler on the Roof "has been a very trying experience--many things have been learned throughout the process of this show, and we've definitely become closer as a troupe." She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her for all of the things she decides to take on and also helping her get to all of those things.
Nachum the Beggar (Ember Breedlove)
Ember is a sophomore at GMHS. She has previously performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in Les Examables, Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol, and Goodness Gracious. Ember has had a lot of fun and an amazing experience with Fiddler on the Roof, especially working with the cast and crew. Outside of theatre, she enjoys drawing and D&D. Ember would like to thank her friends, her family, the cast, the crew, and the production staff for the wonderful experience!
Shaindel, Featured Dancer (Alyssa Maree Brown)
Alyssa is a senior at GMHS. Her stage credits with the Cruiser Theatre Company include A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol, Shrek the Musical, All I Really Need To Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play, and Persephone Underground. Regarding Fiddler on the Roof, Alyssa says, "This show is so important, especially right now, so I hope we do it right. We put in the time and tears." Outside of theatre, Alyssa enjoys sleeping and cheering. She would like to thank the troupe for everything: "These last four years have been a dream, and I couldn't ask for a better troupe to act alongside for a final bang."
Golde (Olivia Chaney)
Olivia is a sophomore at GMHS. She has previously performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor & Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol. Regarding Fiddler on the Roof, Olivia says, “I have had a great time! It is very different from anything I have had the chance to do yet since this is my first musical, so I’m really getting the chance to learn some new things. I’m also getting the privilege to work with very talented seniors on their last production, and for me, it’s different than how it has been working with them for the rest of the year and I’m so grateful for it.” Outside of theatre, she is also a member of the GMHS choir program, and participates in 4-H. Olivia would like to thank God for this opportunity as well as her family for making it possible to even make it to rehearsals. She would like to thank all of her friends inside and out of the theatre troupe for their continued support and love--"I adore you all!" She would also like to thank all of the adults and teachers involved in the theatre troupe for making this possible, but especially Mrs. Mclaughlin--she has put everything into this program and the troupe sees it and appreciates it. Olivia is so sad this is the last production of the year but she also knows everyone needs a good break, especially you. Thank you for making us what we are! Lastly she would like to thank all of the seniors for all of the time they have put into the troupe: "We love you and will miss you! It's very bittersweet. I know we can't keep you forever, but I really wish we could."
Ensemble (Brooke Childers)
Brooke is a sophomore at GMHS and has participated in several shows with the Cruiser Theatre Company, including Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol. She has really enjoyed being involved in our production of Fiddler on the Roof. Outside of theatre, Brooke is also involved in softball and has played for 5 years. She thanks all her friends who have supported her and have made her feel accepted throughout this past year!
The Constable (Isaiah Coleman)
Isaiah is a junior at GMHS. His past stage credits include The Monologue Show (from Hell), All I Really Need To Know I Learned By Being in a Bad Play, Les Examables, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol. Isaiah is having a good time in his first musical. Outside of theatre, his hobbies include writing scripts and songs, singing, and making music, as well as trying to inspire others. Isaiah would like to thank his parents for giving him this opportunity to be in a musical. He'd like to thank God for leading him in the right direction of acting. He'd like to thank Mrs. McLaughlin and Mrs. Himes for being such helpful hands in the musical. Finally, he’d like to thank the rest of the students for being such good friends to him.
Ensemble (Tamara Cooper)
Tamara is a freshman at GMHS. This is her first time appearing onstage with the Cruiser Theatre Company, but she helped with costumes for our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Learning all the lines, music, and choreography for Fiddler on the Roof has been a challenge, but Tamara has adjusted to it. She would like to thank all her friends in the cast that have made her feel comfortable with herself on stage and with talking to other people and making her feel safe around them.
Ensemble (Fatima Diallo)
Fatima is a sophomore at GMHS. This is her first time appearing onstage with the Cruiser Theatre Company. For Fatima, Fiddler on the Roof has been an amazing experience. Fatima is also on the GMHS track team and enjoys dancing as a hobby. She would like to thank the production team for all their hard work.
Mendel the Rabbi's Son (Ashton Diendl)
Ashton is a sophomore at GMHS. He has previously performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in Les Examables, Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol, and Goodness Gracious. He describes being a part of Fiddler on the Roof as an absolute joy, despite it being his first - being able to learn songs, choreography, and lines alongside his friends in the troupe has made him look forward to the next one. Also, he’s been impressed with the amount of importance that has been put on showcasing the culture of the Jewish people in a non-stereotypical, culturally sensitive way, going as far as talking to real people of the Jewish faith to create a more accurate depiction of the story. Regarding thanks, Ashton says: "Thank you to my troupe first and foremost, the most talented group of people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you to my friends who’ve come to support me and the troupe. And finally, a thank you to my family for being there to see me on stage."
Ensemble (Jill Dodson)
Jill is a junior at GMHS. She has worked on sets with the Cruiser Theatre Company for Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Fiddler on the Roof. She has appeared onstage in our productions of Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol, Persephone Underground, and Goodness Gracious in addition to Fiddler on the Roof. Jill says that being a part of this musical has been amazing; all the people are so friendly and welcoming, and it's been very easy to make friends and create a close-knit theatre family.
Avram the Bookseller (Elias Dooley)
Eli is a freshman at GMHS. He has previously performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol. His experience with Fiddler on the Roof has been "a bit hectic, but still fun." He has really enjoyed getting to do this production, and he's excited for people to see it and enjoy it. Eli would like to thank Mrs. McLaughlin for giving him the opportunity to participate in this production, as well as the staff and all the cast/crew for making it possible. He would also like to thank his friends who pushed him to do this show and helped him when he was scared.
Perchik (AJ Gacnik)
AJ is a senior at GMHS. He has previously appeared onstage with the Cruiser Theatre Company in: Almost, Maine; The 9 Worst Breakups of All Time; Shrek the Musical; The Monologue Show (from Hell); All I Really Need to Know I Learned By Being in a Bad Play; Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play; Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol; and Goodness Gracious. AJ has had a great time with Fiddler on the Roof and thinks of it as a great way to finish off his time in theatre. Outside of theatre, AJ is also active in band, choir, and student council at GMHS. He would like to thank his friends, his family, and his boyfriend, Payne, for being so supportive.
Ensemble (Mackenzie George)
Mackenzie is a sophomore at GMHS. She has been involved in plays with the Cruiser Theatre Company for the past two years, including Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play and A Midsummer Night's Dream. She has had an amazing experience with this production; she joined late, so she's trying to catch up, but so far everyone has been nice. Her hobbies include singing, reading, writing, and acting. Mackenzie would like to thank Mrs. McLaughlin for letting her join the production late. She also wants to thank everyone in the troupe for being really nice and encouraging.
Fruma Sarah, Russian, Villager (Alex Gilden)
Alex is a junior at GMHS. He has been involved in pretty much all of the Cruiser Theatre Company's productions for the past two and a half years. He describes his experience with Fiddler on the Roof as "chaos incarnate" but he's happy to finally be able to do a musical.
Ensemble (Ava James)
Ava is a junior at GMHS. She has also been a part of the Cruiser Theatre Company's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. She is enjoying the opportunity to play a Russian in Fiddler on the Roof.
Lazar Wolf (Aidan Kennedy)
Aidan is a senior at GMHS. He has performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in The Nine Worst Breakups of All Time, Shrek the Musical, Nooses Off!, The Monologue Show (from Hell), All I Really Need To Know I Learned By Being In A Bad Play, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol. Aidan was also the student director for Goodness Gracious. In Aidan’s words, Fiddler on the Roof is a tragedy that still holds relevance to this day, making it incredibly important to get right. With his role being an old widowing butcher (three things he is not), it proposed quite a challenge for him to play correctly. Outside of theatre, he is in GMHS’s concert and jazz bands, and he is also an Eagle Scout. Aidan would like to thank his family for always coming out to his shows to support, no matter how big his roles were. He would also like to thank all of his friends he’s met through theatre who helped make the auditorium feel like his second home. Finally, he’d like to extend a huge thank you to Ms. Mclaughlin for putting up with him and helping him grow as an actor throughout high school - he doesn’t know how she did it, but he’s forever grateful for everything she’s done.
Hodel (Valery Liew)
Valery is a senior. at GMHS. She performed onstage in Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol and has done tech for other shows with the Cruiser Theatre Company. Regarding Fiddler on the Roof, Valery says, "It’s been a very fun experience to be a part of Fiddler on the Roof. I didn't really expect to enjoy this production as much as I do, but after actually going through all of the scenes, music, and learning about the culture behind it all, it's definitely become one of my favorite musicals." She would like to thank all of the cast members and production staff for making this such an enjoyable experience, as well as the audience for coming to see the show - she hopes you enjoy it as much as she does.
Fiddler (Erin McLaughlin)
Because no one came to auditions with a violin, Mrs. McLaughlin is also appearing as the Fiddler in this show. Her full bio can be found under "Creative."
Tevye (Gavin Prifogle)
Gavin is a junior at GMHS. He has been in a plethora of productions with the Cruiser Theatre Company, including Nooses Off!, The Monologue Show (from Hell), All I Really Need To Know I Learned By Being in a Bad Play, Les Examables, Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol. Gavin describes Fiddler on the Roof as his greatest theatrical experience yet. Not only is he surrounded by a cast of fellow seasoned colleagues as well as promising new actors, but he has also gotten to dive into the enriching stories written by Sholem Aleichem alongside them. He has learned of the timeless struggle of a people against endless oppression, and how their faith empowered them to resist those troubles. Gavin has faith in all of his fellow actors to show an authentic look into Jewish life of the past, and with him, bring them "to life." Gavin would like to thank his best friend, Aidan Kennedy, for inspiring him throughout the year and working him to a point he's confident enough to be the lead for our musical. Secondly, he thanks all those who helped the troupe understand actual Jewish tradition and how to properly display it on stage. Thirdly, he thanks his mother and grandparents for supporting all his theatrical endeavors. Lastly, he thanks the cast, crew, and his Director for bringing the best out of us. Gavin also has a personal message for the audience: "These people I stand with on this stage are my family. If this play has taught me one thing, it is the value of family and the traditions one builds with them. Every walk of life contains something unexpected, something to be wary of, something to be happy about. This play embodies life as a whole with its unavoidable surprises - unpleasant and pleasant alike. I wish you all well, and I hope you enjoy our attempt to bring these characters to life."
Grandmother Tzeitel, Ensemble (Ellie Riley)
Ellie is a freshman at GMHS. She has previously appeared onstage in Goodness Gracious with the Cruiser Theatre Company. Ellie has had a great time working with our directors and everyone who is part of this production - working on big projects like this with the amazing cast and crew we have has been a fun experience for her. Ellie also plays clarinet and bass clarinet in the GMHS marching band, and she plays JV softball. She would like to thank her mother, her sister, the cast and crew, our wonderful directors and everyone involved in the theater department.
Mordcha the Innkeeper (Trey Schweikert)
Trey is a junior at GMHS. His credits with the Cruiser Theatre Company include The Monologue Show (from Hell), All I Really Need To Know I Learned By Being in a Bad Play, Les Examables, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Christmas Carol. Regarding Fiddler on the Roof, Trey says: “This is the best show EVER. I know this is the first musical I’ve ever been in (RIP The Addams Family), but it’s absolutely wonderful how this has come together and I’ve loved every single minute of it, including Mordcha, my second most favorite role in the entire universe.” He would like to thank... everyone! In specifics, thank you to: his family for being there for moral support and allowing him to be in the plays; the cast and crew in this show for making this show come to life; and mainly Mrs. McLaughlin, Ms. Himes, and Mrs. Winters for making this musical a thing in this school - “You guys are the BEST.”
Rabbi, Featured Dancer (Andre Smith)
Andre is a sophomore at GMHS. He has performed with the Cruiser Theatre Company in several productions, including Les Examables, Crimes Square, Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol. He loves Fiddler on the Roof; it's a hard and technical play, but a beautiful story. Outside of theatre, Andre enjoys drawing, gaming, painting, and skating. He would like to thank Mrs.Mclaughlin, Mrs. Lively, Mr.Lively, Mrs.Winters, Mrs.Himes, and the entire cast and crew for making this production the best.
Chava (Diamond Smith)
Diamond is a senior at GMHS. She has previously appeared onstage in Shrek the Musical, The 9 Worst Breakups of All Time, and elementary school plays. Working on Fiddler has been challenging at times, but overall it's been a fun experience. Diamond is also in choir at GMHS; she says, "Singing and theatre is my passion and it’s what I’ll be studying in college next year." She would like to thank Mrs.Winters and Mrs.McLaughlin for teaching her all about theatre and music, which have become the center of her world. She would like to thank all of the cast members for not only being her friends but becoming like family to her. She also wants to thank her mom who has always pushed her to chase her dreams and believe in herself. Enjoy the show!!!
Tzeitel (Arianna Thomas)
Arianna is a senior at GMHS. She has previously appeared on our stage in Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Persephone Underground, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol. For Arianna, working on Fiddler on the Roof has been a bit difficult, but she's had a ton of fun even through the struggle. She would like to thank her fellow cast members and Mrs. McLaughlin for this opportunity.
Bielke (Rose Voyer)
Rose is a sophomore at GMHS. This is her first time appearing onstage in a Cruiser Theatre Company production, although she has taken Theatre I at GMHS. She's had a lot of fun working on Fiddler on the Roof; it's been great being able to spend more time with friends and make new friends. Outside of theatre, Rose is also in the GMHS pep band. She would like to say thank you to all the cast for accepting her at the very end of this year and for the last two productions. She also thanks Mrs. McLaughlin for giving her a chance to do something that she has always wanted to do, and thanks everyone in the theatre company for giving her a second family to look forward to!
Fyedka (Payne Williams)
Payne is a freshman at GMHS. He has previously appeared on our stage in Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol and Goodness Gracious. He says being a part of Fiddler on the Roof has been a blast; rehearsals have been a ton of fun, and his fellow cast-members have made the whole process way easier than he expected it to be. He would like to give a big thanks to his family for supporting him in giving theatre a shot, the crew and tech department for making sure we have lights and sound, and the ushers for volunteering to help out. He would also like to specifically thank Ellie Riley, Olivia Chaney, Kayla Bandy, and his boyfriend AJ for all being some of the sweetest people he knows and making this an experience he'll remember forever.
