Ones Who Return - The Bug Theatre Cast

Kaylee Hawkins (Regina)
Kaylee is so grateful for the opportunity to be working on this production. She was most recently in a production of “How I Learned to Drive” with Twilight Theatre Company in Portland, and “Christmas at Pemberly” at Firehouse Theatre Company. Kaylee graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with her BFA in Acting and Directing in 2019. Kaylee would like to thank the incredible cast, crew and playwright; as well as her loving parents, family and friends who have always been incredibly supportive in the pursuit of her craft. She would also like to give a special thanks to her husband Samuel. Most of all, she would like to thank her beloved pup, Oatmeal Biscuit.
Matthew Rosenberg (Engstrand)
Matthew Rosenberg is an actor with a background in improv comedy and film. He is from Boston and has lived in Colorado for 18 years. 2020 served as a catalyst to step into the life-long dream of acting.
Jessica Shepherd (Mrs. Alving)
Jessica is thrilled to be back on a live stage after many decades away. Playing the complex role of Mrs. Alving is a dream come true. She started as a child with lots of musical theater and discovered the joy of straight plays in high school, playing ‘Alice’ in “You Can’t Take it With You.” She studied acting directly with Kristen Linklater at Emerson College in Boston. Landing her first speaking role in a film (“Fargo”), to do a scene with one of her all-time favorite actors, Frances McDormand, and the iconic Coen Brothers directing/producing was a thrill and a tremendous learning experience. The actors’ journey can be a long and winding one. Jessica is grateful that her journey has led her back this moment in time, and the opportunity to share it with each of you.
Christopher Harris (Manders)
Repertoire Shakespeare, community theater, gorilla theater, a few indie films, Christopher Harris has been acting in various productions for forty years. This first role in Denver theater is a character he has wanted to portray ever since he read the original. As theatre is an escape for so many who attend, acting has always been an outlet for Christopher. Funny how our escape is always such a reflection of reality. Among his favorite past performances are Herod from Salome, Quentin from After The Fall, and the Scarecrow from the Wizard Of Oz.
