About The Odd Couple (Female Version)

SUMMARY

Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.

HISTORY

The female version of The Odd Couple was first presented on Broadway by Emanuel Azenberg, Wayne M. Rogers, and The Shubert Organization at the Broadhurst Theatre on June 11, 1985. It was directed by Gene Saks.

Great Oak Theatre Company

The Great Oak Theatre Company (G.O.T.C.) is a student driven organization with the goal of providing positive, collaborative and creative theatrical opportunities to the students at Great Oak. We typically produce three shows a year including a student directed show as well as a musical. G.O.T.C. also runs The Laugh Pack… a comedic improv troupe! The goal with our company is to have students do as much of the work as possible and as such the students are building the set, organizing and sewing costumes, running lights, sound, microphones, publicity, etc. An audience might only see what happens on the stage… but it takes a lot of commitment to make that happen. We hope you enjoy our shows and we welcome any donations that you might send our way! We have made a point to keep our ticket prices LOW this year in order to just get people in the door during this Covid Craziness.

Thank you,
