Erica Wilkins (Featured Vocalist)
Erica Wilkins, born & raised in New Haven, CT, made her acting debut in the hit gospel stage play “Torn Between the Two”, touring the U.S. monthly starting in January 2024. She is currently cast in the upcoming gospel stage play “Blood Bond,” to debut this summer. FUSE audiences may remember her stunning performance at the 2023 4th Anniversary Dinner & Cabaret at Music Back Then in November. Erica has been a background singer in the gospel community for over 23 years behind prominent gospel artists such as Deon Kipping and J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise. Erica has attended the New Haven Academy for Performing Arts under the tutelage of Lara Morton. All glory to God for the things he has done. Elvin Melendez (Featured Vocalist)
Elvin Melendez, he/him, is an unsigned artist and active singer in his community. He is well known by his followers as the winner of the worlds famous Apollo Theatre competition in New York City. He sang back up for Grammy® Award winner Josh Groban in a live performance of “You Raised Me Up” and has done the opening bids for seven-time Grammy® Award nominee John P. Kee and Dove® Award nominee Alvin Slaughter. A recording artist with a CD release in 2011 titled “Collage” and an EP release in 2020 titled “Wonder,” Elvin combines genres of RB, Pop and Gospel influences in his music. His most recent passion includes performing with Fuse Theatre CT. When not performing, Elvin works for a not-for-profit organization developing programs and services for underserved communities in Connecticut to help families with their social determinants of health.
Ty Scurry (Featured Vocalist)
Ty Scurry , he/him, is an active performer and award-winning director and educator in the New Haven Public School system. At age 22, Ty has built one of the fastest-growing drama programs in the city of New Haven. Ty is also a skilled professional musician and singer - performing primarily in southern CT in theatrical and church settings. With FUSE, Ty’s first experience was in Songs for a New World (January 2023). His other on stage roles include: Hairspray (Seaweed), FAME (Tyrone Jackson), Sister Act (Curtis Jackson), Shrek The Musical (Shrek), and In The Heights (Benny). As an educator and director, he has been nominated and won numerous awards with the Halo Awards (the CT High School Theatre Awards) and the Sondheim Awards (The CT Regional Awards for the National Musical Theater Awards). Ty’s goal is that through his work and life - young student artists are liberated, edified, and create their own positive and lasting legacy in life.
