Outreach
Some families and students may not be able to attend a class in person. Friends of BBK strives to make delivering the performing arts experience possible for all. Our outreach team travels to or zooms with a student(s) who may not be able to attend a conventional onsite class. We have been able to visit students in person and over zoom in their homes, schools, and hospital rooms. We have shared story times, dancing, singing, zoom productions and leadership skill building together. The reward is immense for both our students and our team. We aim to spark joy, offer comfort, cultivate creativity, confidence, inspire wonder, instill hope and most importantly, be part of their healing journey.
Performances
Performing arts education doesn't stop on the classroom, Applying thee skills students are building to present their pieces is important for developing their self confidence. We have compassionate and kind professionals from the performing arts industry bring their skills to the community in our musical and dance productions. Offering the opportunity for students to challenge themselves and present their hard work and accomplishments on stage in front of audiences and in various venues styles, builds confidence and savvy both on and off the stage, Through these high caliber production experiences we are able too make an impact on the development of lifeskill in our youth and longevity in our adult programming.
