About I'M PROUD OF YOU
Performed to sold-out audiences and high acclaim in Pittsburgh, Dallas, and more, I’M PROUD OF YOU will now receive its southeast regional premiere in East Nashville with Tennessee Theatre Fellowship. This auto-biographical play from New York Times best-selling writer Tim Madigan is a truly life-affirming work, based on his life-altering relationship with Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood). Co-written with Harry S. Parker, chair of the TCU theatre department, this intimate, simple, and moving production has resonated with theatre-goers and critics alike. It reminds us of the simple joys and pains of human existence, and our need for kindness and authentic relationships as we navigate it.
Note: This show is presented without intermission and is just under 90 minutes in length.
TTF is excited to return to Studio 615, the site of last summer's hit production of “GUYS & DOLLS: An Immersive Theatrical Event.” I'M PROUD OF YOU is certain to be the summer theatre event everyone is talking about once again. Join the cast, creative team, and fellow audience members for a free talkback conversation immediately following each performance. It's all part of TTF's strong commitment to our mission – bringing human beings together through the shared experience of live theatre.

Tennessee Theater Fellowship
Tennessee Theater Fellowship is a non-profit, professional theatre company with a new vision for the performing arts in Middle Tennessee. TTF exists to bring human beings together through the shared experience of live theatre. We strive to bring the kind of arts programming to our city that not only entertains an audience with excellence, but also challenges all of us to be a better community. We believe that the telling of stories and the sharing of laughter, tears, songs, or powerful words help us understand one another more fully. Good old-fashioned southern hospitality and uncommon kindness are hallmarks of the patron experience at TTF. We also provide an opportunity for thoughtful conversation with our cast, director, and your fellow audience members after every performance. In an era of loneliness, isolation, bitterness, and division we need this kind of interaction more than ever. In addition to producing excellent professional shows, TTF also works to make the arts more accessible to all children and students in our area, not matter their background or socio-economic status.
Tennessee Theater Fellowship was founded in 2024 as FTF, and recently celebrated its two year anniversary as a company by rebranding to reflect our expanding reach from Franklin to the larger Middle Tennessee area. Our first two years have been marked with great success in fulfilling our mission. We produced a moving and timely reimagined production of TWELVE ANGRY JURORS. We staged the regional premiere of Tony-winning Broadway hit GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR with tremendous critical acclaim. We produced a unique, crowd-thrilling immersive version of GUYS & DOLLS. We made a difference in the lives of young theatre hopefuls with Camp Broadway scholarships, free professional headshots, free theatre tickets, workshops, and more. In 2025 we were honored to receive a host of Reader's Poll first place awards in the “Best of Williamson” 2025 Awards from Williamson Scene Magazine… “Best Theater Company", “Best Performing Arts Group”, “Best Actor- Shawn Knight", as well as a Critics' Choice winner write up for our company. We are honored to serve this community through the arts and can't wait to see what the future holds.
