Artistic Director & Co-Founder
Melanie SuttonMelanie Sutton has directed over 25 plays and musicals in her career, including FTF's bold reimagining of TWELVE ANGRY JURORS last year, and a 2023 TPAC Spotlight-Award winning production of GREASE. In January, Melanie directed the national post-Broadway regional premiere of Tony-winner GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR. Melanie spent 15 years in upper school theatre education here in Franklin, building a thriving Performing Arts department from the ground up. In her past, Melanie studied, performed, and assistant directed at the highly acclaimed Stratford Playhouse in Houston, TX, winning a regional Best Actress award for her role as "Mrs. Van Daan" in THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. Melanie's desire to foster connectedness & empathy, to raise up the next generation of artists, and to produce excellent theatrical experiences, all came together in her unique vision for FTF. She loves beautifully-told stories that bring people together - this one included. Melanie and her husband Ryan (a record producer and mix engineer), have two amazing sons - Jackson & Matthew- and love living in Franklin, TN.

Choreographer
Allison Little Allison Little is an award winning choreographer with over 20+ yrs in the
entertainment business and is thrilled to be part of FTF’s Guys and Dolls’ creative team!
She recently choreographed 9 TO 5 for Nashville Rep, directed ROOTS Academy’s inaugural performance of MATILDA JR., and has been seen on stage in Studio Tenn’s productions of
Cabaret, West Side Story, and Mamma Mia, as well as Nashville Rep’s productions of ELF & MARY POPPINS. Other favorite theatre credits include: The Broadway National Tour of CATS,
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Grand Ole Opry), & The Nutty Professor (Pre-Broadway Premiere) directed by the legendary Jerry Lewis!
Allison is the Founder of Kerosene Creative Productions, LLC and IGNITE Professional Performance Training Program. KCP offers Creative Direction & Choreography for performing artists in the Nashville area & IGNITE offers professional level dance classes,
workshops, and intensives for performing artists 13+. Much love to her husband Daniel, their boys Logan and Levi, & her family for their continued support!

Music Director
Scott Brons Scott Brons is thrilled to be working with FTF for GUYS & DOLLS. He makes his lunch money as a pianist, vocalist, and composer. This season, Scott has worked with Studio Tenn, Nashville Rep, Lipscomb Department of Theatre, and Father Ryan’s Purple Masque Players. If he was a bridge, he’d be burning.

Stage Manager
Shannon J. SpencerShannon J. Spencer has lived and worked in the greater Nashville area for the last 20 years after graduating with a double major in Dramatic Arts and Communications Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has worked with over 20 different companies and completed 200+ projects during her time in Nashville. Her most recent credits include: Good Night, Oscar (PSM) with FTF, Cymbeline (ASM), Much Ado About Nothing (ASM), and As You Like It (ASM) at the Nashville Shakespeare Festival; The Front Porch Society (ASM), Gem of the Ocean (ASM) at Kennie Playhouse Theatre, The Addams Family (PSM/Props Design), The 39 Steps (PSM/ Props Design), Into the Woods (PSM/ Props Design), Little Women: the Musical (PSM/Props Deisgn), Charlotte's Web (PSM/Props Design) at Franklin Road Academy Upper School Theatre. Costume Designer
Melissa DurmonMelissa has thoroughly enjoyed designing this production of GUYS & DOLLS with FTF! Melissa calls Nashville Rep home as their Resident Costume Designer & Costume Shop Manager. She also owns The Costume Rack, a small Nashville-based costume rental company. Her career spans over 250 productions from the Southeast to the West Coast. Recent credits include: Sunday in the Park with George, The Mountaintop, A Christmas Carol, Our Town, Waitress (Nashville Rep), Legally Blonde, Hello Dolly, 42nd Street (Belmont), Lizard Boy, Ride the Cyclone, Fun Home (Street Theatre), and the Emmy Award-winner “Reconnecting Roots” on PBS. Melissa holds an MFA in Theatrical Costume, Wig, & Makeup Design and a BS in Speech & Theatre. She is grateful for her parents, children, and her amazing husband Dan.

Scenic Designer
Jim ManningJim is delighted to be returning as set designer for FTF after working on TWELVE ANGRY JURORS and GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR He teaches Technical Theater and Film Studies at University School of Nashville. Outside of school, he directs and designs for several companies around town, including Circle Players, HPAC, Keeton Theater, ACT 1, and The Bell Witch Fall Festival. Onstage, some favorite roles include MOON OVER BUFFALO (Howard- Best Featured Actor), OKLAHOMA! (Will Parker- Best Supporting Actor), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Puck- Best Actor).

2025 Design Fellow
Em Mills Credits include: Set Design, Pride and Prejudice (Belmont University, in collaboration with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival); Lighting Design, The Game’s Afoot, The Aviator, Senior New Voices Festival (Belmont University); Stage Management, Precious Metals: Beauty in Brokenness (Good Light Productions); Performance, No Exit (Belmont University), Much Ado About Nothing (Nashville Shakespeare Festival). Em graduated from Belmont University in May 2025 with a BFA in Theatre.

Co-Founder & Executive Producer
Ben GreggBen Gregg is an actor and local entrepreneur. In his early 30's, Ben found a love for the stage, performing in several shows for the Auburn Avenue Dinner Theatre and Gig Harbor Playhouse in Washington state. His favorite roles included "Joseph" in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and leads in productions of "Guys & Dolls" and "Sound of Music." After moving to Franklin, he eventually stepped away from theatre and into the business world. Ben is currently the owner and CEO of an insurance company here. He is excited to combine his entrepreneurial spirit and resources with his love for theatre in launching FTF. Ben was seen onstage as Juror 3 in "12 Angry Jurors" this past summer.

“GUYS AND DOLLS" A Musical Fable of Broadway premiered on Broadway November 24, 1950, where it ran for 1,200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Directed by George S. Kaufmann.
The show is based on short stories by Damon Runyon including: “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown”, "Blood Pressure", and "Pick the Winner". It has been revived successfully on Broadway and the West End several times and is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most enduring musicals of the entire American Musical Theatre Canon.
