Holly Rose

Holly is thrilled to be here at Federal Way High School to teach these talented young performers! In addition to teaching here, she also is the founder and artistic director of Rosebud Children’s Theatre Conservatory www.rosebudctc.org - founded in 2010. Some of Holly's credits include performing in A Narrow Bed (Wings Theatre, NYC), dancing alongside Smashmouth (Radio City Music Hall, NYC) and playing “Benten” in the World Premiere of The Kyogen Rope (O’Malley Theatre, Chicago) to name a few. Holly has earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University; a Performance Certificate from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC; an MBA with an emphasis in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management; and a Certificate in teaching with endorsements in ELA and Theatre from Northwest Educational Development.

Reina Litondo

Reina is in 10th grade and this is her 1st show with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. Some of Reina’s hobbies include writing, drawing, and making music. Reina would like to give a shout out to her friends Jacob and Lynne because she wouldn't even be on tech if they weren't both there too.

Han Rose

Han is a Senior and this is his 11th show with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. Some other roles he has done include Run Crew for Peter and the Starcatcher (Penguin Productions), ASM/Otis Lackginger in Is There A Doctor In The House (RCTC), Cowboy Bob, Bickle, & Dance Captain in Footloose (RCTC), Damian &, Choreographer, & Assistant director in Mean Girls (FWHS). Some of Han's hobbies include stage management, roller skating, and hanging out with friends. Han would like to give a shout out to Avi, Drake, Alinea, Lumia Gale and Miss Rose, also his friends and family for supporting Han throughout anything and everything!

Gale Miller

is so overjoyed to pass on her knowledge she’s built to these amazing upcoming technicians! As a Senior, Gale has left her mark on all 7 past shows with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. Starting as a Freshman technician in Blithe Spirit, working her way up to Stage Manager in Mamma Mia! And being an equally passionate actress, her proudest role being Dr. John Seward in Dracula, along with plenty of other on and off stage roles in numerous other pieces she could list. Gale lives and breathes the theatre, but when she’s taking a break from living and breathing, she’s watching movies with the boyfriend, chatting it up with her friends or family, and generally just dabbling in every form of art ever. Gale would like to leave a loving word with the young, brave, and eager new technicians, who dove headfirst into the beautiful art of bringing a show to life. She’s so proud and excited of and for them!

Caleb Oyugi

Caleb is in 12th grade and this is his 3rd show with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. Some other roles he has done are Light Board Operator for Dracula and Mamma Mia. Some of Caleb’s hobbies include drawing, video games, and reading Manga. Caleb would like to give a shout out to Mrs. Rose for providing a safe space for cast and crew to have a good time while also making a show for others to enjoy.

Brielle Brunette

Brielle is in 10th grade and this is her 3rd show with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. A recent role she performed was Coach Roger Dunbar in Footloose (Rosebud CTC). Some of her hobbies include theater, guitar, singing, and dancing.

Harper Rose

Harper is in 10th grade and this is her 3rd show with Federal Way High School Drama Dept. Some other roles she has done are Regina Gorge in Mean Girls and Mrs.Kirby in You Can’t Take it With You. Some of her hobbies include drawing, singing, baking, and of course acting. She would like to give a shout out to Han because he's always very hard working and understands what needs to get done.

Sara Calderon

Playwright

Frances Goodrich (1891-1984) was born in Belleville, NJ and started in the theatre as an actress, making her debut with Ruth Chatterton in 1916 in Come Out of the Kitchen. She collaborated with Albert Hackett in writing the play Up Pops the Devil in 1930, and they married the following year. The team continued to write the plays Bridal Wise, The Great Big Doorstep and The Diary of Anne Frank, for which they received a Tony Award, NY Drama Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The Diary of Anne Frank was used as the basis for the musical Yours, Anne.

The team also wrote the screenplays for the first three films of The Thin Man series, as well as Naughty Marietta, Ah, Wilderness, Rose Marie, It's A Wonderful Life (the inspiration for the musical A Wonderful Life), Easter Parade, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Pirate, In the Good Old Summertime, Father of the Bride, Father's Little Dividend and The Diary of Anne Frank.

Albert Hackett (1900-1995) made his New York stage debut as an actor as a little girl in Lottie, the Poor Saleslady in 1906. He appeared in productions of Peter Pan, Crime, Whoopee and The Nervous Wreck.

With Frances Goodrich, whom he married in 1931, he wrote the plays Bridal Wise, Up Pops the Devil, The Great Big Doorstep and The Diary of Anne Frank, for which they received a Tony Award, NY Drama Critics’ Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.The Diary of Anne Frank was used as the basis for the musical Yours, Anne.

Wendy Kesselmen Besides her Tony-nominated adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank, Wendy Kesselman’s plays include The Executioner’s Daughter; The Notebook; The Foggy Foggy Dew; The Last Bridge; I Love You, I Love You Not; Maggie Magalita; Merry-Go-Round; The Shell Collection; My Sister in This House, A Re-imagined Version (Deaf West Theatre); The Graduation of Grace and Spit. She also wrote the book, music and lyrics for The Juniper Tree, A Tragic Household Tale; A Tale of Two Cities; Becca and The Black Monk: A Chamber Musical, which was released on CD in 2015.

Among other honors, she has received the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize; the AT&T Onstage Award; The New England Major Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in the American Theatre; the first annual Playbill Award; the Roger L. Stevens Award; the Jane Chambers Playwriting Award,; the Lecomte du Noüy Annual Award; Meet the Composer Grants; Guggenheim, McKnight and National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships; and a Writers Guild of America Award for her screen adaptation of John Knowles’s A Separate Peace. Her other screenplays include Sister My Sister (adapted from My Sister in This House) and I Love You, I Love You Not.
