Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything.

While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

Our drama program includes a Nationally recognized troupe through Educational Theatre Association's International Thespian Society.  We have over 16 superior awards at the state and National level, have been featured as a main stage performer at International Thespian Society in 2017, and have had 2 featured performers in the main stage production of Songs for a New World.  

Most notable productions in recent years include, High School Musical, Godspell, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Legally Blonde, Seussical, and Almost, Maine.  In this year's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, we've embraced the idea of finding creativity in challenging times.  Our auditorium is under construction and we haven't had revenue from ticket sales since 2019.  The Blue Devil Players has learned in recent years, with obstacle comes avenues for an open mind and an open hear.  We thrive in challenge and adversity and are honored you're here to support our latest production!
