The Legend of Anne Bonny ONLINE Cast

Savannah Vedovatti  (Anne Bonny)
Savannah’s (she/her) first encounter with piracy onstage came at the age of seven in an improv class where the golden rule was: “When in doubt, be a pirate!” Her most recent credits include Portia in Something Rotten (StageDoor Theatre), Eurydice in Eurydice (The Spark), Hazard, The Mutant Queen in the world premiere of The Android’s New Soul (The Bug Theatre), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (StageDoor Theatre), and Ensemble/Diana u/s in Next To Normal (Off-Broadway Arts). Thank you to Emy and Pluto for crafting an incredible story, Lexie for believing in her, and the cast and crew for putting up with her shenanigans and putting on a great show. She sends endless love to her family, Hanna, Cam, Jackson, and Traci Kern Voice Studio. Enjoy the show!
Emy McGuire (Mar Read)
Emy McGuire (she/her) aims always to be a professional siren, pirate, and sword-enthusiast. She wrote and composed The Legend of Anne Bonny during college after a terrifying adventure sailing five thousand nautical miles. Her debut novel, NO ONE ABOARD, about a dysfunctional family and a ghost ship, will be published through Harper Collins this December. Another one of her plays, Leaving for a Loon, is currently premiering in Valdez, Alaska, and you can find more of her work published with Dramallama. Emy is also an avid performer (you may have seen her tour with the Edgar Allan Speakeasy, play Juliet with Upstart Crow or met her as Queen Elizabeth I at the Brevard or Sunshine ren fairs). Emy is honored to continue to be part of the evolution of this special story, this time as Mar Read. She hopes that you let yourself cry, laugh, and remember the long-dead women and men whose souls still wander the sea.
Eli-Leon Harvey (Jonathan Barnet)
My name is Eli Leon Joie Harvey (they/them, he/him), and I am a black, queer teaching artist living in Denver, CO. My two biggest passions are the arts and education, and, as the years continue on and I learn more about both areas, the more I believe that the arts, especially theater, can be used as a tool within education as a way to learn more about other people and ourselves. I have graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater from the University of Colorado Boulder. While in school, I had the opportunity to be cast in eleven shows, and played a variety of different roles. Out of all of them, the ones that stood out to me the most were the roles of Rosalind (As You Like It), Mack the Knife (Three Penny Opera), and Greta (Antigone, Presented by the Girls of St. Catherine’s). These three roles during my time at school each shaped a part of my performance ability and gave me a true challenge to overcome. Outside of theater, my passion for art drives me, and I write, draw, and create my own stories. I would like to take time to thank all my loved ones, from family, to my partner, to my friends, who have loved and supported my passions from day one. I love you all, and thank you for loving my art.
