About Straight Talk

At first glance, Parker is your average middle-aged divorced straight guy...that is until he finds himself falling in love with an old friend, Johnny. Having been openly gay for many years, Johnny becomes increasingly frustrated with Parker's desire not to be "labeled", feeling he doesn't need to come out as gay or even bi in order to be with Johnny. Things only escalate further when Parker's ex-wife and two children learn about Parker's new entanglement. The interplay lays bare the challenges of identity and expectation for those identities between lovers, friends, and family.

2022 will be the 10th year for EMH Productions to bring thought provoking, intimate and unique stories to life. EMH Productions supports the art of acting, directing, producing and writing through live theatre productions, film, TV and casting.  The mission is to provide an arena that artists in this industry can network, grow their craft and find support to achieve their goals. Bring me your dream project as a producer, writer, director or actor and let's see what we can do together to bring it to fruition!  Success awaits!

Join the newest venture from EMH, The Artist's Collective. This is a wonderfully talented group of professional artists who are working towards their individual dreams, while lending support to one another along the way. It is home to The Writer's Room, where local playwrights and screenwriters meet up to share their work, get constructive feedback and become produced for the stage or screen.

ELISE MARIE HODGE - EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR of EMH & The Artist's Collective:
I started EMH as a casting director workshop company in LA, to help my fellow actors make
connections and grow in this business. It has grown into a way for me to produce, direct and act in   this multi-faceted industry. It also evolved into a way to promote my own work as well as those I want to work with. I have grown into taking on film, casting projects, and did some fun little web shows on a shoestring budget. Through all this, I take those with me who truly want to be actors, directors, producers and writers, whatever your desire in this business. I have a drive and if you show me you do too, I am happy to provide avenues of support to help you attain your goals.

In every production, as the executive creative director, I look to bring in new and aspiring directors, actors or writers to showcase their talents, to be a stepping stone in their career path as an artist in this creative community. I select material based on its social impact, its essential message that I believe will either move people, test their beliefs, or simply make them laugh.  Stories have always been my passion, as I believe only through story telling do we truly find ways to reach out to one another, to touch each other on a human level.
