Keola Simpson
Director, Assistant Professor
Keola Simpson is a Native Hawaiian theatre-maker from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, a stage and screen actor in New York City, and an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Dickinson College. His 2020 production at the University of Hawaiʻi, I’m Lot Lane (a solo effort), garnered 11 national awards at The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in 2021 including the Citizen Artist Award, David Mark Cohen Playwriting Award, and Overall Production. He was a nominee for the United States Artists Fellowship (theatre) that same year and a featured artist at the Consortium of Asian American Theatres and Artists 2022 ConFest. In 2023, Keola was seen in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s, Refocus Project, which aims to transform the American theatre canon. Being in its third season, and spotlighting AAPI playwrights from the 20th and 21st centuries, Keola starred in the 1994 play, Ola Nā Iwi (The Bones Live), by Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl, which was taped in front of a live audience at the Laura Pels Theatre in NYC and streamed for free throughout the fall. Keola spent much of his childhood as a performer and musician, traveling western Canada with his mother's touring Polynesian revue, Ka ʻOhana.

Kent Barrett
Visual Designer, Associate Professor
KENT BARRETT is a multi-disciplinary theatrical designer and artist who has developed a wide-ranging body of work and established a national and international presence on the performance scene. Kent is a former company member with The Wooster Group, an NEA Grant recipient and an instructor at MIT. A prolific technologist, Kent's works have been seen at venues such as The Park Avenue Armory, Harlem Stage, La MaMa, Signature, The Public, The Brooklyn Lyceum, and Lincoln Center as well as internationally. In addition to his work in theater, dance and performance, Kent has also collaborated widely on independent films, art installations, and with various architectural lighting firms. Kent is a co-artistic director and founding member of the experimental performance collective VALLEY TRACTION. To learn more about their work visit www.ValleyTraction.org

Sherry Harper-McCombs
Costume Designer, Professor
Sherry has worked as a costume designer for several professional theatre companies including Theatre IV in Richmond, VA, Georgia Mountain Theatre and the Academy Theatre in Atlanta, GA and most recently at Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, WV. She has worked as an artisan in venues that include the Utah Shakespearean Festival, the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, and even a brief stint on the set of the movie "Forrest Gump". Her teaching interests include costume and scenic design as well as crafts/properties and costume technology. Particular areas of interest are mask-making, fabric painting, and puppetry.

Juli Bounds
Costume Shop Manager
Juli Bounds has served as Costume Studio Manager at Dickinson College since 2012. She spends her summers working as a First Hand at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah where most recently she worked on costumes for Emma: The Musical. Juli studied art history and theatre design at the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoys making pom poms and putting googly eyes on things in her spare time.

Jason Nedrow
Technical Director
Jason Nedrow (Technical Director) is pleased to continue his 13th year with Dickinson College in the theatre and dance department. Jason has worked as a technical director and scenic carpenter since 1998. He holds a B.A. from Penn State University and a M.L.A. from McDaniel College. Jason is proud to supervise the department scene shop and teach students to focus on creative ways to construct and deconstruct theatre scenery through recycling and keeping materials out of the trash. He lives in Mechanicsburg and has two daughters, Addison and Samantha. Sam is a sophomore Dickinsonian.
