February Follies Cast

Violinist (Rachael Berndt)
Rachael Berndt will be performing a song from the Suzuki Violin Book 2 called The Boccherini Minuet. She has been playing violin since she was 3 and loves all things musical. Rachael can't wait to perform this Minuet for the Febuary Follies.
Singer/songwriter (Denise and Jarrett Chaney)
We are Jarrett & Denise Chaney. We are performing our song "Fifteen." This song was written by Denise as a gift to Jarrett a few years ago for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. From meeting at 15 to being married for 15 years - this is our love story!
Vocalist (Kaitlen Smith)
Kaitlen Smith is a lifelong local of Pagosa Springs with a passion for music and the arts. She will be singing "I Have Nothing" composed by David Foster and Linda Thompson, originally performed by Whitney Houston.
Vocalist (Marion Burk)
Marion Burk is an avid lover of all things music and has loved singing her whole life! She is beyond excited for this opportunity and can't wait to share her joy! She is singing " Fallin" " by Alicia Keys.
Singer (Mila Miller)
My name is Mila Miller, I will be performing Someone like you by Adele Acapella, I have been singing for as long as I can remember and I love to be on stage.
Vocalist (Hannah Rockensock)
Hannah Rockensock will be singing "Bewitched" composed by Richard Rodgers and lyricist Lorenz Hart. Playing the piano for her today will be Venita Burch.
Vocalist/guitarist (Lillian Buchner)
Lillian Buchner is a 6th grade girl with a love for animals, snow, and acting. She participated in the Cinderella play at the high school with Curtains Up Pagosa and is excited to participate in the February Follies. In her act she will be playing Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. For a long time she has loved this song, and can’t help jamming out to it. She can't wait to get out on stage!
Lyrical Dance Solo (PSDA)
“You’re Enough” is performed by Riley Culligan and was choreographed by PSDA veteran dancer/choreographer Anika Thomas. The message of this song, that everyone is good enough just being themselves, resonates deeply with both Riley and Anika. This solo is Riley’s first one for a competitive dance event that will be held in mid-March 2022. Music by Sleeping At Last.
Jazz Dance Small Group (PSDA)
“Stray Cat Strut” is performed by Sophia Ellis, Merick Halterman, Audrey Martinez, Raquelle Martinez, Penelope Peck, and Audrina Smith. It was choreographed by Kristen Ritter from Cortez, Colorado. This jazz piece is a spunky dance which will be the first competitive piece for most of the dancers. They look forward to performing multiple times this spring. Music by Stray Cats.
Musical Theatre Dance Trio (PSDA)
“Jet Set” is performed by Riley Culligan, Lily Peck, and Avonlea Thomas and comes from the musical Catch Me If You Can. It was choreographed by Pagosa’s own Hayley Hudson. The girls are taking this musical theater piece to their first competition this spring and will be performing it various times throughout the coming months. Music by original Broadway cast of Catch Me if You Can.
Jazz Dance Solo (PSDA)
“All That Jazz” is performed by Penelope Peck. It is a classical, broadway jazz dance choreographed by Kristen Ritter of Cortez, Colorado. Penny brings sass and energy to the stage in her first solo and will be competing this spring. Music by Catherine Zeta Jones in Chicago.
Irish Hard-Shoe Dance Solo (PSDA)
“Iridium” is an Irish hard-shoe dance performed by Avonlea Thomas and choreographed by Sarah Muirhead. This energetic dance highlights the complex rhythms and unique skills required of Irish hard-shoe. Avonlea, though experienced in other forms of dance, is new to Irish and she is hooked! She is excited to be bringing this dance to her first dance competition this spring. Music by The Sidh.
Acro-Dance (PSDA)
“Unstoppable” is performed by Avianna Davies. This lyrical acro dance has been choreographed by Karaline Bassett. Avianna brings to the stage a gorgeous blend of dance and acro skills in this piece. Music by Camila Mora.
Contemporary Dance Solo (PSDA)
“Take It All Back 2.0” is performed by Lily Peck and was choreographed by Kristen Ritter from Cortez, Colorado. This is a non-traditional lyrical piece that takes a contemporary approach to storytelling. Lily is taking it to competition this season and will be her second time competing with a solo. Music by Judah & the Lion.
Vocalist (Katrina Thomas)
Katrina Thomas will be performing “This Place is Mine,” a comedic mezzo-soprano aria from the musical Phantom (music and lyrics by Maury Yeston). She will be accompanied by Dale Scrivener. Better watch out, the Diva has arrived!
Vocalist (Kaeden Thomas)
Kaeden Thomas will be performing “Dust and Ashes” from the musical The Great Comet of 1812. Dust and Ashes is a song about a man contemplating his life while on the verge of life and death. The song’s emotional depth is portrayed as he contemplates whether he wants to survive or give up on life and die. Kaeden will be accompianed by Venita Burch.
Vocalist (Connor Thomas)
Connor Thomas, an outdoors lover, will be performing “Waving Through a Window” (from Dear Evan Hansen by Ben Platt), which is a sad/upbeat song about a not very brave boy who feels apart from the normal world. He will have Katrina Thomas, his mother, as the piano accompanist. Connor has always loved theater - having been in 12+ CUP and PSHS plays. His favorite type of theater is singing and is extremely excited to perform this solo.
Contemporary Dance (Sophie Martinez)
Sophie is a shy person by nature but when performing on stage, she demonstrates a sense of confidence and excitement. Dancing takes her to a world of joy and happiness. Sophie will be performing a Contemporary dance to Electric Love by BORNS choreographed by Hayley Hudson. She has been a student of dance since the age of 2, this performance will showcase elements of ballet, modern dance and jazz in a unique expressive style.
Vocalist/Guitarist (Regina Sikes)
Regina Sikes is performing "I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran. She is a Junior at Pagosa Springs High School, who recently moved to Pagosa from New Mexico. She has been singing since she was little and has played guitar on and off for a few years.
Vocal Duet (Raleigh and Regina)
Raleigh Odenbach and Regina Sikes are performing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Valli. The two sisters have been singing together since childhood. They enjoyed putting a new spin on a well known classic.
Vocalists (Erika Sueker and Gus Palma)
Erika and Gus will be doing an arrangement of "The Arkansas Traveler" (a traditional folk song). Their version is based off one done by Jerry Garcia and Dave Grisman as heard on the Album "Not For Kids Only."
Vocalist/Guitarist (Gracelyn Kiker)
Gracelyn Kiker will be playing guitar and singing Tim McGraw by Taylor Swift. She is a student at PSHS, and also in their current production of Music Man as Ethel Toffelmeier
