About Murder on the Orient Express

This is a play adaptation by Ken Ludwig, based on the 1934 murder mystery novel by Dame Agatha Christie.  At the beginning of the narrative, Christie's most famous detective, Hercule Poirot is prompted to return for London from Istanbul, and he instructs the concierge to book him a first class ticket on the famous Orient Express.  After meeting all of the passengers on the fully booked train, Poirot awakens to discover that an American tycoon has been stabbed a dozen times in his own compartment, with the door locked from the inside.  Isolated in a snowdrift, and with suspects all around, Poirot must identify the murderer quickly, in case he or she should decide to strike again.  Running time: 2 hours (with a 15 minute intermission.)
