About The Evan Wade Band
The Evan Wade Band is a rising force out of Northeast Texas, bringing a raw, honest sound that blends traditional country roots with a modern edge. Fronted by singer-songwriter Evan Wade, the band delivers music that feels lived-in—songs about love, loss, redemption, and the kind of stories you only hear under neon lights and wide Texas skies.
Raised on the legends of outlaw country, Wade’s sound is deeply influenced by the grit of artists like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard, while still carving out a voice that’s unmistakably his own. With a growing catalog of original songs—including crowd favorites like “Whiskey Women and Angels” and “Down in Reno”—the band has quickly built a reputation for performances that are both high-energy and deeply personal.
Backed by a tight group of musicians, the Evan Wade Band brings more than just music to the stage—they bring an experience. Whether it’s a packed hometown venue or an intimate acoustic set, their shows are marked by authenticity, connection, and a sound that stays with you long after the last chord rings out.
As they continue to write, record, and perform across Texas, the Evan Wade Band is carving their place in the next generation of country music—one song, one story, and one stage at a time.
Community Players, Inc.
Community Players, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer-run, donor-sustained organization.
Our volunteer and donor support has given Community Players Inc. the opportunity to provide entertainment to Sulphur Springs and the surrounding areas for 40+ years!
In addition to our primary mission of furthering the Arts, we strive to provide opportunities to aspiring actors and actresses, as well as persons interested in the “behind the scenes” workings of theatre.
We also bring opportunity and fun to the children of Sulphur Springs and the surrounding area by offering a Children’s Workshop during the summer season. This has been a very successful endeavor that allows our children the chance to see what happens throughout the production of a play from start to finish, as well as give them the opportunity to perform or control the backstage elements of a performance.
There is no cost to participate in our productions (except nominal fees for workshops) and newcomers are encouraged to try out!
