Director
Mary Elysse SantaMary Elysse Santa is the theatre instructor at College of the Albemarle and is so glad to be the COAST Players director this spring. She is a graduate of Western Carolina University and Regent University and has been directing theatrical productions since 2016, including The SpongeBob Musical (CCS), Seussical (COAST), and served as the founder and director of Broadway or Bust Camp from 2016–2021. She dedicates this performance to her family and friends for their support and hopes you enjoy this fin-tastic production.
Music Director
Sandra KruegerSandra Krueger is the Miles Clark Endowed Chair of Music and the 2023 Teacher of the Year at the College of The Albemarle. She served as COA's music director for The Little Mermaid, Matilda the Musical, Sing Down the Moon, and Nunsense. An avid performer, she has been on the Virginia Opera roster since 2016, and coordinates music for Holy Family Catholic Church in Elizabeth City. Many thanks to all who "mermaid" this production possible; many fins made light work!
Stage Manager
Shelby MeredithShelby is a current theatre student at College of the Albemarle and Currituck County High School. This is her first time stage managing at the college, and she served as the assistant stage manager for both Seussical (COAST) and The SpongeBob Musical (CCS) as well as eight one-act plays. She enjoys theatre, art, and hopes to continue as a stage manager professionally after school. She would like to share with you all that she proudly made Bingus the Seagull as a part of stagecraft this semester.

Haley MaculewichHaley Maculewich is a student at College of the Albemarle and is majoring in Theatre. She wants to thank her director and COAST for allowing her to be a part of another play. She was in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella as ensemble and stagehands in Clue. She often loves to play video games in her free time.

Nathan SchiererChoreographer
Micah StoneMicah Stone, a dancer, dance teacher, choreographer, and cheerleading coach, has been dancing since age three. Micah attended Arts Academy In The Woods, a performing arts school, majoring in dance, and participating in dance intensives with Marygrove College and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater of Harlem. He is fluent in dance styles such as Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Majorette, and Afro Beats. Micah loves theatre and has been cast in many musicals, including HAIRSPRAY THE MUSICAL (2014 & 2018; "Seaweed"), FAME THE MUSICAL (2018 "Tyrone"), and SHREK THE MUSICAL (2017 "The Pied Piper"), to name a few. He aspires to be a Broadway performer and hopes to bring something fresh to Sebastian's character alongside this star-studded cast. Micah thanks his parents, siblings, and friends for their continued support.
Costumer
Marti WindramMarti is thrilled to be part of the COAST family. Recently retired after many years in choral music and church ministry, she is happy to contribute her sewing talents and acting chops to community theater. Many thanks to Mary Elysse and Sandra and all the wonderful young actors for making her feel so welcome. Creating costumes for the cast is such a privilege, and it’s a thrill to see the characters come alive!

Rhiannon DanielsRhiannon K Daniels is a COA student who is attending College as she helping the theatre program. She loves sewing, doing musicals, and playing Ensemble in Cinderella at COA's Theatre in Spring 2023. This Spring she helps out with sewing and making sure everyone on the shore is beautiful and fun, especially being part of the world of The Little Mermaid. She hopes everyone continues attending shows at COA.
Backstage Assistance
Erin KelleyErin is a student at COA in her last semester, she worked backstage on this production to create props, costumes, and set pieces. Erin has been working in theatre since 2018 and she is so proud that this is her last show!
Wardrobe Captain (Sea), Sequin Wizard™
Jenna SimmonsJenna Simmons is currently studying theatre at the College of the Albemarle. She is in the ensemble and plays one of the princesses. Jenna loves to sew and make costumes, and she is the Costume Captian of the Sea. Jenna has been in COA’s productions of Seussical and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Jenna would like to thank God for his many blessings, and her family and pets for always being there for her.
