The Pirates of Penzance Cast

Nia Sier is an operatic soprano pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a minor in Arts Administration at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. She has always had a love for the arts and is currently pursuing a career in opera with the help of OSU Opera and Cimarron Opera in Norman, Oklahoma. She has been performing with Cimarron opera for around 9 years now and can’t wait to perform with them for many more. Nia is absolutely honored to be playing the part of Mabel and cannot wait to bring her alive on the stage!

Braden is a senior in environmental sustainability at the University of Oklahoma. He has been performing in stage shows for around 9 years now. Some of his favorite roles have included Ernst Ludwig in Cabaret, Chad in All Shook Up, and Frankie in Forever Plaid. He is very excited to perform in an opera again (especially this opera) after a several year hiatus from the medium!

Mitchell Waggoner is thrilled to be returning to Cimarron Opera for his second summer of G&S festivities! You may remember him from two summers ago as the cocky sailor, Richard Dauntless, in “Ruddigore”. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Mitchell is currently a Senior at the University of Oklahoma graduating this December with both a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Music Education. While at OU, Mitchell has sung multiple roles, most recently being ‘Bank Account Bill’ in Weill’s “Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny”, ‘Ramiro’ in Ravel’s “L’heure Espagnole”, and ‘Pépé’ in Donizetti’s “Rita”. Last summer, Mitchell made his international debut as ‘L’aumônier’ in Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites” and ‘Marco’ in Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” both with the Festival of International Opera in Urbania, Italy. Marcy Gonzales hails from Blanchard, OK. She studied voice at the University of Oklahoma under the direction of Dr. Donna Cox Mitchell. She is an alumna of the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA where she studied under legendary mezzo soprano, Marilyn Horn. Marcy has enjoyed performing opera and musical theater at home and abroad. Operatic roles include: Dame Quickly in Falstaff, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Malika in Lakmé, Third Lady in The Magic Flute, and Carmen in Carmen. A few of her musical theater credits consist of: Nettie Fowler in Carousel, Marmee in Little Women, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Nancy in Oliver! and Mother Superior in Sister Act." Marcy performed consistently with Cimarron Opera for over a decade where she had the privilege of diving into a variety of different roles and garnered a wealth of knowledge and experience from so many of the incredible musicians that contributed their time and talents to the company over the years.

Logan is delighted to be making his return to Cimarron Opera. Some of his credits include Giuseppe Palmieri with Cimarron opera and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he earned his bachelors in musical theatre. Logan enjoys work as a voice over artist in his free time and has recorded various ads on the radio for the musical theatre program at UCO. Logan would like to thank his family and loved ones for their constant love and support as he continues his artistic journey.

Charlie Monnot is a big supporter and participant of the Oklahoma music scene. Previous Opera productions, Waiter in Service Provider, Vespone in La Serva Padrona (Painted Sky Opera), Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore, Scorpio in La Pizza Con Funghi (Cimmeron Opera). Musical Theatre roles include: Harrold Bride in Titanic, Henry Ford in Ragtime, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Lyric Theatre); Lord Farquaad in Shrek, Tobias in Sweeney Todd, Carl in Ghost (The Pollard Theatre);, Claude in Hair and Pirelli in Sweeney Todd (Reduxion Theater Company;, Oscar Lindquist in Sweet Charity and the Baker in Into the Woods (Shawnee Little Theatre);, Tateh in Ragtime (Poteet Theatre), Malcolm in The Full Monty (Sooner Theatre). When not on stage, Charlie can be seen as the Registrar at Oklahoma City University.

Raeslyn Miller is a recent graduate of Oklahoma City University with Bachelors of Vocal Music Education and Vocal Performance. She has had the opportunity to play characters such as: “Girl” in Michael Torke’s Strawberry Fields (OCU), ensemble in Sweeney Todd (OCU), and “Rose Maybud” in Ruddigore (Cimarron Opera). Raeslyn is very passionate about performing and teaching people about the wonders of opera and its ability to connect people far and wide! She is currently on the educational team at Painted Sky Opera, preparing for the upcoming children’s show, Die Kinderflöte. Raeslyn would like to thank her family and friends for continual support on her music journey, and hopes you all enjoy the show!

Mackenzie Cook is a mezzo-soprano from the Oklahoma City area. She holds dual master’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Central Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education. For the past two years, Mackenzie has served as an educational outreach artist with Painted Sky Opera and is a member of their Education Committee. She also teaches voice lessons and is a dedicated advocate for arts education. In addition to performing and teaching, Mackenzie is a researcher in the field of Contemporary Christian Music. Her recent master’s thesis explores the vocal habits of worship leaders in modern church settings. Her favorite operatic roles include Tessa (The Gondoliers), Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice), and Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus). This production marks her Cimarron Opera debut and the start of an exciting summer, as she prepares to marry her fiancé, Nathan, and relocate to the Dallas area.

Rachael Bourn graduated from USAO in Chickasha with a degree in vocal music performance in 2006. She currently works at her dream job as the elementary music teacher to some amazing students in Moore. Since college she has performed in Cimarron Opera’s Ruddigore, Gallantry, and The Gondoliers. This past Christmas she performed in Sooner Theatre’s A Christmas Story. Rachael absolutely loves acting, singing, and performing on stage. Rachael and her partner, James, have four children: Sage, Brady, Nevaeh, and Hayden. In her free time Rachael enjoys gardening, crafts, singing, dancing, and resting.

Piper Allred is a singer and actress from Edmond, Oklahoma. She graduated with her B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Oklahoma in 2020 and received her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in May 2023. She is thrilled to be working with Cimarron Opera again this summer! Previous credits with Cimarron Opera include The Gondoliers (Gianetta), Ruddigore (Zorah), An Extremely or Extraordinarily Pleasant…Trip to the Museum (Soprano 1), Sunday Excursion (Alice), and H.M.S. Pinafore (Chorus).

Psalm Ambos (Chorus/Samuel Cover) is a rising Senior Vocal Music Education major from Norman, Oklahoma. A proud voice student of the Mary Wierick Studio, show credits include from Cimarron Opera: Ruddigore (Chorus). Oklahoma City University: The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho), The Merry Wives of Windsor (Chorus), Pietà/Suor Angelica (Chorus), and She Loves Me (Arpad). The Sooner Theatre: Newsies (Davey), Chicago HSE (Ensemble). Norman North HS: SpongeBob The Musical (SpongeBob), Be More Chill (Michael Mell). Jordan Apple is excited to make his operatic debut with the wonderful people of Cimarron Opera! Jordan has recently appeared in Poteet’s Mary Poppins as Northbrook, Storyteller’s Julius Caesar as Metellus Cimber, Hidden Gem’s Puffs as Oliver and Wrong Window as Loomis the Handyman. You may have seen Jordan in schools around Oklahoma as Captain Von Trapp in Lyric Theater’s interactive version of The Sound of Music! Few chances are left to see it, watch the Pioneer Library system this summer! You won’t want to miss it!

Sabrina Bettis is honored to be a part of her first Cimarron Opera production! She has performed in several operas and musicals, most recently with Poteet Theatre as Miss Smythe/Ensemble in "Mary Poppins". Some of her favorite roles have been The Fairy Godmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's “Cinderella”, Mrs. Potts in “Beauty and the Beast”, and Little Red Riding Hood in the Children's opera “Little Red Riding Hood”. She graduated from Cameron University in 2011 with her Bachelor's in Vocal Music. A special thank you to my husband, Christopher, for always being by my side in all life's adventures.

Brianna-Jo Davis is a coloratura soprano from Davis, Oklahoma. She studies under Dr. Melody Baggech and will graduate with a Bachelor's of Vocal Music Education on December 13, 2025. She has been performing since the age of five and has appeared in Hello, Dolly! , Godspell, A Tribute to Hee Haw, and The Marriage of Figaro, along with a variety of other musical productions. She was also in Pirates of Penzance with the Garvin County Choral Society. With a passion for music education and performance, Brianna-Jo continues to develop her artistry both on stage and in the classroom.

Annie Elliott is a light lyric soprano who primarily sings sacred music at Our Lady’s Cathedral in downtown OKC as a staff singer and makes appearances as a guest artist in many of the churches in the OKC metro. This will be her third show with Cimarron Opera, previously appearing as Lola in Gallantry by Douglas Moore, Fiametta in The Gondoliers. on stage she brings characters to life with graceful movements and good comedic timing. With her unwavering dedication; she continues to enrapture audiences and congregations, solidifying her place as a cherished gem in the local music community.

Tristan is a student at the University of Central Oklahoma studying instrumental music education with a focus in percussion. He is mainly an instrumentalist, however singing has become a passion of his within the past year. Theatre has always been a passion for him, but he is excited to explore it as a performer for the first time.

Soprano Madigan Glenn is excited to be making her Cimarron Opera debut. She is a rising junior at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a BM degree in Vocal Performance, studying under Dr. Joel Burcham. Madigan was a 2025 finalist in both the OU Concerto Competition and the OU Young Artist Competition. She will be attending the American Institute of Musical Studies program in Graz, Austria this summer to study German lieder and is also set to perform her first opera role this fall in the OU Opera production of Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw.

Savannah Gordon is a mezzo-soprano and an Oklahoma native. An active performer in the Metro area, Savannah performs regularly with Painted Sky Opera, Canterbury Voices, and OK City Opera. She is an Education Outreach Artist with Painted Sky Opera and the Music Intern at All Souls Episcopal Church in OKC. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2022. Her favorite performances include singing Chorus in Carmen and The Secretary in The Consul. Currently studying with Dr. Danielle Herrington, Savannah enjoys performing a variety of musical genres on stage.

Cheyenne is a soprano vocalist from Yukon Oklahoma. In 2025, she received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Central Oklahoma under the direction of Dr. Kevin Eckard. Throughout her career, she has been lucky enough to receive opportunities to sing in Italy with the Music in the Marche program and participate in cultural exchanges in China with the music ambassador of Oklahoma. She also works as an educational outreach artist with Painted Sky Opera. Some of her favorite roles include Gianetta in the “Gondoliers”, Amore in “Orfeo ed Euridice”, and Quicksilver/Hope in “The Wonder Book”.

Meg Loy is a soprano, actress, writer, and composer who is very glad to finally be in her first show with Cimarron! She was a 2023 Kelli O’Hara Award finalist for playing Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Recent credits include The Magic Flute (Pamina), Meg Loy: Striking, Ridiculous, Anomalous at 54 Below, Julius Caesar (Caesar/Octavius), Cats (Grizabella), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), The Addams Family (Alice). Many thanks to Kassie Carroll for pulling her into these swashbuckling shenanigans with full force and heart!

Kayla graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her bachelor’s in vocal performance in 2022. She has been an active member of Cimarron since 2018 as a camper, performer and employee. She would love to thank her patient family and friends for encouraging her during her burnout.

Lor Meirick (they/them) is a wretched little creature that crawled out of the woods. They are excited to be participating in their third production with Cimarron. Their past credits include and are limited to being in the chorus of Patience and playing Ralph Rackstraw in that infernal nonsense Pinafore. They are currently trying to find a forge where they can learn blacksmithing so if you know a guy, find Lor after the show and tell them the code-word DAGGER so they know not to run away.

Pat Meirick (chorus) has appeared in Cimarron Opera’s productions of Ruddigore (Despard, Old Adam), The Gondoliers (Don Alhambra, Duke of Plaza-Toro), Pirates of Penzance (Major General), Patience (Major), HMS Pinafore (Carpenter’s Mate), and Iolanthe (Private Willis). He has also appeared locally in Carpenter Square’s Clever Little Lies (Billy), Namron’s Spots and Stripes (King Zutan), and Poteet’s To Kill a Mockingbird (Atticus). He is a professor in OU’s Department of Communication. He and his wife, Christina McDougall, have two grown children, Ian McDougall and Lor Meirick; both are alumni of Cimarron Opera Camp. This is Pat's first show with Lor.

Natasha Naik is a mezzo-soprano originally from Edmond, OK. Notable roles include Inez in The Gondoliers (Cimarron Opera), Mad Margaret in Ruddigore (Cimarron Opera), Fenena in Nabucco (Opera Ithaca), Scribe/Maria Maddelena in Galileo Galilei (Cincinnati Conservatory MainStage), Dorabella in Così fan tutte (University of Oklahoma), Mercédès in Carmen (Cincinnati Conservatory French Opera Gala). She holds a Master of Music in Voice from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Music in Voice (summa cum laude) from the University of Oklahoma.

Seth Riden is eager to take part in his first show with Cimarron Opera. He enjoys challenging himself musically, and his previous stage experience includes the roles of Curly McLain in Oklahoma!, Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Antonio in The Marriage of Figaro. He has a degree in Vocal Performance from East Central University, and currently works as an assistant for the Chickasaw Nation School of Music."

Rocky Roberson is a practicing optometrist as well as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who needs to practice. He has performed for many years with several community bands, choruses, and theater groups. This is his first production with Cimarron Opera.

Kelsey Rogers is a performer/adventurer with an unhealthy interest in comedy & physicality. Starting with Cimarron as a child doing their Kids Camps, the spirit & love brought forward by performing gave her life. She has performed as a dancer/stilt walker, traveled the world for 4 years dancing on Princess Cruise Lines, and has performed/choreographed/dance-captained several Off-Broadway shows. Her acting/voice-over work includes commercials, TV, & podcasts. She sang with an all-female barbershop choir for years, and now is in a band with her parents. Creator of a docuseries - HIKING THE DIVIDE - now she’s finding film/television work (especially Stuntwork) a new adventure. Kelsey is a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation and THRILLED to be part of this amazing show!

AAMIR SANDHU is thrilled to make his Cimarron Opera debut! He holds a B.A. in Psychology from OU and will soon begin medical school at the OU College of Medicine. He’s grateful for the chance to take the stage once more before starting this new journey. His previous roles include Professor Bhaer in Little Women, Will Bloom in Big Fish, and Van Buren in Damn Yankees. Aamir would like to thank his loved ones and everyone who helped bring this production to life. He hopes this show reminds audiences that it’s okay to laugh at life and not take things too seriously!

Audrey Sondag is a native of Norman, Oklahoma and has just completed her Junior year at Webster University in St. Louis. She is a prospective graduate of a Bachelor’s degree of Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and a Minor in Dance. Audrey is a camp alumni, and is excited to return for her second season with Cimarron Opera. This past Spring, Audrey spent eight weeks studying abroad in Vienna, Austria. As an emerging artist, Audrey seeks performance opportunities outside of her classical studies and works to gain exposure in art of all varieties.

Sarah Spurlin, soprano, attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her Bachelor’s of Music in voice performance. In 2019 she played Le Coq in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Golden Cockerel. Spurlin received a Master’s in Music at the Eastman School of Music. At Eastman she played Enyo in Nkeiru Okoye’s We’ve Got Our Eye on You Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmélites. She played Casilda with Cimarron Opera last summer in The Gondoliers and featured in the 50th anniversary concert. She appears regularly with OK City Opera and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Chris is excited to be making his theater debut as a member of the chorus. He plans to use this opportunity to continue in his career as an aerospace engineer.
