Love, Lies & the Doctor's Dilemma Cast

Patty West (Joann Scheller)
Patty has been involved with Woodland Productions in Kettle Falls for many years, including performing in the choir, the plays The Octette Bridge Club and Dixie Swim Club. She has done Reader’s Theater in Spokane plus the local The Hole in The Sky. In Chewelah, she played two characters in Sylvia and was in last season’s Sweet Delilah Swim Club. She wishes to express her thanks for the support of her loving husband Roger along with Cheri, Bonnie and all the cast and crew which has made this show possible.
Bill Barnes (Sandy)
Bill made his first theatrical appearance as a high school sophomore in Neil Simon's The Odd Couple in the role of Murray the cop. His introduction to community theater came while stationed on Guam with the Navy, when he was cast as The Young Man in Edward Albee's The American Dream and then as George Gibbs in Thorton Wilder's Our Town. After approximately a thirty- five year absence, Bill reappeared on stage as Nysan Steady in Park Avenue Players production of Liz Reilly's The Traveling Troubadour. Next came Down to Earth, his first of many opportunities to share the stage with the woman who would become his real world wife, Deanna. He has been cast in many additional Park Avenue Players shows over the years as well as filling the role of Maurice in StageTime's Beauty and the Beast Jr. (appearing with granddaughters Jayde and Maddy). In addition to time on stage, he directed Peter Quilter's Curtain Up! for Park Avenue Players.
Kathryn Patton (Olivia St. Claire)
Prior to moving to Chewelah, Kathryn has played a myriad of roles in community theatre, including Ruth in The Effect of Gamma-Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (playing opposite Christine Johnson-Smith), Louisa in The Fantsticks, Aldonza/Dulcinea in Man of La Mancha, Dolly in Hello Dolly, and chorus roles in Finnian’s Rainbow, Once Upon a Mattress, and The Music Man to name a few. Since becoming involved with us, she has played a Pidgeon sister in The Odd Couple, Molly in Molly Sweeney, and Vernadette in The Sweet Delilah Swim Club. She made her local directing debut with Over the River and Through the Woods and is excited to direct 9-5 the Musical this spring.
Dave Tupek (Vinny "The Enforcer")
My first (tentative) steps on the stage with the Park Avenue Players was as the radio announcer in Vintage Hitchcock, where I tumbled from the stage during a rehearsal (ouch!) Fortunately I remained upright as the emcee for the One Act Play Festival, shuffled and dealt cards as Murray the cop in The Odd Couple and offered sage grandfatherly advice as Nunzio in Over the River. I now find myself portraying a strong armed mobster who is charged with tracking down an elusive "slimeball" from one edge of the stage to the other. I will try my best to not go over the edge. My thanks to Ruby and Vivian for encouraging this grandpa to "keep on acting".
Liz Richart-Freeman (Rachel)
Liz was last seen guzzling martinis as Dinah in Sweet Delilah Swim Club. This is her 6th show with Park Avenue Players and says, “This is a great group of people. I really enjoy working with them”. When not at the theatre, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, her pets, and collecting new craft projects to work on. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.
Chuck Ritchie (Chris)
This is Chuck's debut performance with the Chewelah Center for the Arts playing the role of Chris; Joan's son and the target of Vinny the Enforcer. This is his return to the stage after a long absence in the theater, but far from his first performance. He has previously had roles in several Shakespeare plays including the role of Sir Toby Belch in The Twelfth Night, as well as many other productions both through school and community theater in his hometown of Wasilla Alaska. In addition to his foray back into the world of theatrics, Chuck is a morning show co-host on KCHW and a long time volunteer, current Vice President and founding member of the Chewelah Creative District.
