Honky Tonk Hissy Fit Cast

Crystal Oakley (Joveeta)
Welcome back to Doublewide, Texas from your mayor, Joveeta Crumpler! Crystal is thrilled to return to the trailer park after previous CAT appearances in Exit Laughing, Keep On Laughing, Squabbles, and Centuri, along with a string of “zesty” industrial roles. She dedicates this performance to the incredible crew that’s shared 38 years of laughter—and to her current posse of just-the-right-amount-of-trashy teammates. Y’all are welcome in Doublewide anytime (alcohol limit: one Shiner in each hand).
Rebekah Spence (Caprice)
Rebekah is excited to return to Doublewide, Texas and is loving every moment with this hilarious cast and crew. Most recently seen in Murder on the Orient Express at Henrico Theatre Company, she’s also performed with CAT, Homefront Players, River City Community Players, Jewish Family Theatre, and On the Air Radio Players. Big thanks to Mike and CC for their direction, support—and chocolates! Y’all enjoy the show!
Chris Yarbrough (Baby)
Chris is beyond thrilled to return to the CAT stage, making his first onstage appearance at the Hanover Tavern! He was last seen at CAT as Dr. Wally in Almighty Bob during the 2011–2012 season and has since worked behind the scenes on productions like Bus Stop and Shirley Valentine. Recently, he directed Crimes of the Heart and The Sunshine Boys for River City. Chris thanks CC for the care, Mike for the opportunity, and—of course—you know who you are.
Laura McFarland-Bukalski (Ethel)
Laura is thrilled to be back in Doublewide, Texas, bringing Big Ethel to life once again. CAT audiences will recognize her as Millie from Exit Laughing and Keep On Laughing. She’s grateful to Mike, CC, and this fantastic “No Weirdos” cast and crew, and sends love to her husband, her favorite child, and Ma & Daddy.
Wally Jones (Sloggatt)
Wally is dee-lighted to complete his honky-tonk hat trick, returning as Sloggatt after appearing in both Doublewide, Texas and A Doublewide, Texas Christmas at CAT. Other CAT credits include The Odd Couple and Light Up the Sky, both directed by his wife, Becki. He’s also appeared in Spamalot at Dogwood Dell and has crafted props for CAT and Henrico Theatre Company. A lifelong artist and budding ukulele enthusiast, Wally also plays lute-ulele with the Richmond Renaissance Dancers.
Michael Edward McClain (Nash)
Michael is excited to revisit the world of Doublewide, Texas, reprising his role as Nash from CAT’s 2018 production. He’s thrilled to be reunited with familiar faces and to welcome new ones to the trailer park. Recent credits include South Pacific at the Beaty Theatre at Fort Gregg-Adams. Favorite roles include Bill in Mamma Mia!, Wilbur in Hairspray, JD in Margaritaville, and the Mysterious Man/Narrator in Into the Woods.
Payton Vernier (Lark)
Payton is thrilled to return to the CAT stage, where she was last seen in Exit Laughing and Keep On Laughing. With over 20 years of theatre experience, she’s played everything from contemporary comedies to bold reimaginings of the classics. Favorite roles include Helen in Baby With the Bathwater, Nina in Stupid F$&#%! Bird*, and Carrie in Carrie. She’s loved every moment with this fantastic cast and crew and thanks her friends and family for their unwavering support.
Lisa Piper (Georgia Dean)
Lisa is thrilled to return to Doublewide, Texas, reprising her role as Georgia Dean from A Doublewide, Texas Christmas. When she’s not holding court at Bronco Betty’s buffet, she’s doing it for real—practicing family law across central Virginia. She sends love to her supportive family (especially Jon and Anders) and her firm for tolerating the occasional courtroom twang. She’s missed the hot pink—y’all enjoy the show!
Stacy Lynne Parker (Harper)
Stacy is thrilled to make her CAT debut in Honky Tonk Hissy Fit! RVA audiences may recognize her from The Odd Couple: Female Version (Homefront Players), Sunshine Boys and Let’s Murder Marsha (RCCP), and several musical productions with St. John’s Community Players. When she’s not on stage, Stacy is a singer, pet mom to Angus, Malcolm, and Bailey, and a Compensation Consultant who runs on Dr. Pepper and very little sleep.
